12/12 lighting

can u really start seeds right into 12/12 lighting. or will this kill them

From everything I have read, I'd start on 18/6 or some people do 24/0. If it were me, I'd do 18/6. By starting them on 12/12 you'd be telling the plants that it is about time to start flowering, and if it is just a seedling then it wouldn't be able to bear that kind of energetic process. Hope this helps. And if I'm wrong, then feel free to correct me.

Putting a seedling under 12/12 will not hurt a plant. It just will start the flowering process. However, because there is not much veg there, you're going to significantly reduce your yield. From what I've read here, you should veg for at least 2 weeks, if not more. That will produce more fan leaves, internodal spacing and bud sites. Peace.

There are a couple grow journals on here where the grower threw them right into 12/12. I remember them going reasonably well.

Teh longer you veg for the bigger the yield. You gotta keep in mind, most strains will take a month n half or two months to bud. So it will grow alot in that time. Just if u let it grow sometime before throwing it into 12/12 it will get alot bigger. it usually doubles in size .

after u transplant how long is the growth stunted for.

Depends if it takes to it well. Mine shake back n forth sometimes then growth continued as normal.
