12/12 outdoor grow journal

ok im starting these plants now cuz the day light hours are about to be shorter !!

people grow 12/12 indoor grows all the time

they start 12/12 from seed through harvest

so i want to try to simulate the same thing only outdoors

i figure that the shorter days at the end of summer on in

is just like doing a 12/12 grow indoors

so this is completely experimental just to see what happens

im using bag seed that im germin on a wet paper towel in a zip lock bag

i got one out that i planted friday and one that i planted earlier today

so wish me luck and lets see what happens !!!

Im guessing you will get a couple grams....flowering already started tho so your a little behind nothing to worry about tho.

Your damn right its experimental because even though its 12/12 from seed indoors, Temperatures are optimum but you will not have the desired temperature for them to flourish unless you put them in a greenhouse type environment.

its been around 90 degrees everyday for the past 3 weeks

i know the temps will eventually drop

but i dont see why it would hurt just cuz their not in a green house

i mean the temps drop in the end of the grow season anyway while they are flowering

so whats the difference from starting these now outdoors to simulate an indoor 12/12 grow

i know you got complete control of the temp indoors and you dont outdoors

like i said im just seeing what will happen its really no big deal to me

im not really expecting much from it anyway like 916 said maybe a few grams

i am just curious to see how it grows thats all my man

i would have expected a little more growth then what it is

the first pic i plant on fri the 13th

and the 2nd was planted on the 16th

but fuck it like i said its just some bag seed and its experimental lol

I fear this will be a waste of seeds.

haha i just started 10 short riders, 6 fast bud, and a himalaya blue diesel for shits n gigs. my other plants have been flowering for 2 and a half weeks now, but i think they'll be fine. if anything, they'll be short but they'll still finish in time. hopefully your bag seeds are indica and have a short flowering period because you've already missing out on a few weeks of flowering.

but the bag of weed that they came out of was given to me so no love lost on the seeds lol

i got some nl and p afghani seeds

but i most def wont be planting them right now

im trying my first 12/12 from seed grow indoors right now ( bag seed )

and if that works out i`ll try one of my good seeds

hummm , not really impressed ,

but i dont know what to expect from this type of grow

my indoor 12/12 grow that is on day 12 is doing better then this ,

oh well , like i said its just experimental

it looks better now ,

she just now showed sex so i did a small lst on her and rainbowed her over

cause theirs a chance that she wont finish before it frost here

if so i will have to finish her inside and i need the height room right now , lol

it is skinny and wont put out any weight though ,

but at least she will give me a little something to smoke on lol

i say you well get aleast 14 grams dry doing lst iv seen more better yeilds conditions must be optimal

you will definately get more than a few grams. I'm currently flowering a couple plants that i started outdoors in late september. My temps when i started were in the 90s and now are 70s. And it looks like im gonna yield more than expected. I'll post some pics in a couple hours just to show you what to maybe expect. A word of advice from experience though is that they start out real slow, but dont let it put you off. Start from seed as clones may be already matured and just go right into flowering. And i accidently didnt notice a streetlight on 2 of my 3, and it delayed flowering leading them to get much bigger, and havent really seen any signs of hermying so that might be something to consider.

plant #1 was put on the roof of my building from start to avoid streetlight


plant #2 was left longer on my balcony with streetlight exposure and delayed flowering (shes been having some problems the last few days, i'm thinking rootbound issues as i underestimated her going in and put her in a 2.5 gallon when i started flowering)


#3 similar circumstances to #2 but i put her in a 5 gallon recently, and shes lagging very behind and just barely showing hairs now because i messed up when planting this seed and put it like 3 inches deep. Came out with white cotys and grew at a snails pace for about 1.5 months then just took off.

sorry i dont mean to threadjack, i just couldnt stand to listen to people tell you you'll only get a few g's and discouraging you and other searchers when they have no evidence backing that up. given that even my plant that flowered pretty much right away is gonna give much much much more than that, and on my first grow.
