12/12 time???

hey guys Just wondering, When exactly is it time to introduce 12/12 lighting?
Right now i have only one plant its 12 inches long and is under 2x 26w 6500k and x1 2700k 13w cfl's, and they are starting to grow these!



SO my Question is when do i introduce 12/12 light?
i hear that untill i introduce 12/12 lighting it will only grow taller, That when 12/12 is in effect thats when she will show sex/and or start to flower/bud.

So is ther anyway i can hurry the process?
Btw Its BagSEED but i hear it looks mostly indica!

Some people do 12/12 from the start. You could do it now. I like to veg for at least 6 weeks if not 8

it all depends on how much space you have and how many/what type of lights... I like to veg mine until they are about 4/5 ft because I have the space and I love big plants

It is always better to wait until the plant reaches sexual maturity before force flowering. You wanna wait for white pistils before flowering. Also alternating nodes is a sign of sexual maturity.

You'll noticed that those nodes from the main stalk are aligned with each other on both sides. Once these are offset the plant is mature enough to start flowering. You'll notice that all clones are like this, hence you can start flowering right away. But who needs baby buds. Watch your height to. bongsmilie

well i want to keep my plant short and buddy So from the looks of my plant do you think its a she or a he?and if i do 12/12 now will she bud soon? btw thanks evrywun for you'r replies

once you start 12/12 it will take a couple of weeks for her to start flowering. as for as the sex goes, i cant tell. If it is female you will see two white pistils sticking out where the branches and the stalk meet, or for male you of course will have balls lol. hope this helps!

So basicly at any hieght of the plant, if you switch it to 12/12 with-in a couple weeks it will flower and sex?

No....if you put a plant that is not sexually mature (LIKE YOURS) into flowering, then it will take awhile to start flowering. If you wait till you see pre flowers and alternating nodes, then you start flowering, you will have much faster progress.

You said you wanna keep it short so if I were you, I would top it, or lst it, and switch it to 12/12 after a week.

For example, i vegged my plants for 5 weeks and then I got white pistils on them and alternating nodes. I went ahead and switched to 12/12 and then 10 days later i have little bud sites formin up.
In your case you would switch to 12/12 and maybe 2 - 3 weeks later you would have bud sites formin up. Ya feelin me?
