12/12 to 10/14?

my plants have only been on 12/12 for 3 weeks from seed. they are growing but i need them to be grown before the end of 4 weeks.

if i force them to flower on a 10/14 cycle, will this stress the plants in anyway?

im just trying to speed things up a little. my plants atm have grown abit but if i turn to 10/14 will they start to flower buds quicker?

ill save u all the story of why i need to finish in 4 weeks but i cant slow it down or go any further past 4 weeks.

ok. ive heard that it makes the plant think the days are getting shorter so it forces the plant to speed up flowering.

someone correct me if im wrong

first of all, the plants needs to mature before flower. with ur light cycle(12/12 from seed) this will happen after a month of grow. no need imo to put them under 10/14!

i have a firend that is flowering at the moment and he has gone from 24 light to 8/16. I think this does speed up bud production but you wont produce as much yeild and potency. i've heard of growers cutting light down to 11/13 cycle in the last two weeks of flowering (whilst flushing) to speed up the last bit of growth.

edit: has anyone elce heard of the 11/13 in the last two weeks? because i am in my last two weeks and was woundering if i should do this or not? i am thinking it might work for me becaue i am growing White Widow and it takes 8-10 weeks to flower and at the end of my last two weeks i would have been in 12/12 for 8 weeks. so if i cut to 11/13, at the end of my two weeks my plants age might be at a 9-10 week equiv??? just a thaught.

Is he flowering on 8/16 or vegging?

you should have started your plant on 18/6 and turned back to 12/12 but if you started on 12/12 you just have to wait theres nothin you can do it will get to about amonth old and then grow a nugget as for 24 back to 18/6 i was of the understanding that plants could not utilise anything over 18.

i know about yield but i have no choice to stop the grow in 4 weeks. which ever will produce the most yield.

Ok from seed it took my last 12/12 plants 5 weeks to show flower after that it just took off and budded it's ass off,so about 2 more weeks.Oh yeah what strain are you doing?

yeh, thats what i said to him but this is his first grow and he is doing it whilst his friend is in prision (for growing weed) and he has been telling him how to do it. the is lots of stuff he is doing that just dont seem right, like he has 6 4 foot plants in 8" pots and they are obiously root bound. i could see the roots on the surface of soil. i told him to get bigger pots and he said that they will be ok, they dont need bigger pots because the roots need to be squashed together so they dont grow down and out and more, they apparently encourage the plant to grow upwards ( all that he is doing gose against all fudermental aspects of growing weed). i just figured that its not my plants that will sufer. but they look pretty well to say that they are root bound to fuck.

im growing white widow (fem) trance (fem) and ata tundra... my super silver haze failed. take a look at my grow.

the WW is small, the trance is biggest an healthiest and the ata tundra at are diff levels.

no if its three weeks from bein a seed on 12/12 then you give it more light it will start veggin im sorry to say that on the schedual you have there will be no nugs for you.

Nice they are cuties! Yeah about 2 more weeks and it should start showing,good show getting them another light.:peace:

sorry dude i think you miss-understood what i posted dude.

my plant if fine 18/6 - 12/12

my friend was on 24 hours light veggin and went to 6/18 flowering

No sweets you said in your journal that you added another cfl for flowering that is what im going on about...im high look over me.:mrgreen:

you won't be done in 4 weeks...sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings,but I grow 12/12 from seed too...you will have bud,but not very much,not very potent...in my journal,look for the one that looks like a pole....12/12 from seed for 7 weeks,trics are still clear...again sorry for the bad news....it may get you high,but it won't be mature killa
