12/12 to 14/10 to dust it????!!!!!

A new acquaintance I just met last night that is very experience with his hydro indoor grows told me to go to a 14/10 light cycle the last few days of budding and the plant will be dusted with crystals.

Is this true and why?

More crystals? I dont think thats true, maybe the buds will be a little bigger but a few days isnt really enough to notice that much change. I would just stick with 12/12 all the way through.

by 14/10 you mean 14 on and 10 off? A lot of growers actually do the last 24 hours in darkness as a final stress to the plant. The plant thinks it is dying and goes into final overdrive on flower production.

When It's time to harvest just shut down the lights for 24hrs and this will help with larger bud production? Do you know of any other approaches that relate to this process?
