1200 watt halogen work lights

ok so im a newbie otherwise i wouldnt be in this forum, I read not to use halogens but im growing only 2 plants and i have 1200 watt bulb that is doing great for my 2 seedlings theyve sprouted up and look wonderful to me but i want to do this cheap, but if i have to ill use HID lights. is there anything wrong with this? btw this is an expieriment dont plan for a huge wield or much yield at all just want to try something new.

Cheapist for now would be either a bunch of cfl's, or a 4ft flouro. Come flowering though nothing beats an HPS for indoors. If at all possible...use the sun during your veg period...that's what I am doing right now, since it only gets up to about 25 C.

halogen lights are for the ducks my friend. you need to be rid of that thing or you will not be happy, your plants will just get tall and stretched. and with 1200 watts of it your gonna jack your electric bill up for basically the same amount of usable light as say a 42W CFL kept like 2-3 inches from the plant.
