120w for 1 plant

oh, leds will be fine, if you do your research and make sure you know what your doing.(not saying you havent, lol). I've seen some decent led grows, green thumb wannabe has a good one and ill look for the name of the other guy who's got a hell of an extremely expensive led grow(he spent his tax refund on a $600 panel, in addition to the 2 smaller panels he's got, its like flip _the_bic13 or something like that.)

I have seen plenty of decent LED grows as well, greenthumb's threads were pretty good. He's using the 5mm LEDs though I believe. I believe all of the LEDs panels advertised out there are worthless for the money spent. For those that have the really high power ones I'm eager to see how they perform. But from what I've seen the 3w and 5w diodes are where LEDs are headed. Using tons of little ones is just pointless, they don't cover enough space and there's lots of wiring to deal with. Just my $0.02.

LBBear is using 1200w of LED and it sure looks intense (4x300w panels), and oakaero got a good deal on 2 700w panels. His grow op is just getting started but the pics for the units themselves, they look bright but I'm still skeptical. For all the wattage these guys are running, I think 5w diodes would be able to outperform them if you spent your time and money on those instead. I'm still very eager to see how these LED grows stand up to the HPS craze.
