125w cfl in a 150w hps socket?

Hey everyone! I apologize in advance if I chose the wrong place to ask this question.

Will my 125W cfl which is self-ballasted work fine in my 150w setup(includes ballast)? I would rather veg under the cfl since its 6700k but don't know if the whole double ballast will affect the bulb other than the extra heat!

An E39 (US) or an E40 (Europe) socket wired to the mains for a CFL 125W bulb costs less than $10.

So thats a no go then, i guess ill have to wait on my E40 sockets to come in the mail
