129 days in foxtailing and still spitting white pistals

Hello I have a WW auto thats on 120 days and won't stop spitting white pistols. The buds are huge. But the more white hairs I see, I just keep letting her grow hoping they will turn colors. What should I do? Chop or keep letting her grow?

If I detect that the foxtailing is the bad kind of foxtailing then I just chop, however if you are getting new growth and the bottom growth is not literally dying then I would say it's a bit more yield but its not significative.

Without pictures, it's hard to know exactly what's going on but pay attention to the bottom part of the main colas and see if they are ripe, if you let it go for too long you run the risk of the degradation of trichomes which will reduce their potency if harvested too late.

If you post pictures it will be clearer. and so no idea what you've got. You can give bad advice and ruin it! Do not hesitate to post pictures and get a description.
 
In my experience some strains will never stop throwing out new pistols and foxtailing. My wonka bars do this. I just chop them at 70 days now. THC stalks are just starting to amber at this point anyways when looked at closely. When I chop them, they don’t look done. But when they are dried, they definitely look done.
 
We need pictures to know where you are at with your plants. How long it’s been time wise is totally irrelevant and you shouldn’t even be thinking about it.
Here is how you tell if your plants are finished.

Now you begin looking at trichomes, on the calyx, not the leaves, and harvest according to your preference. When looking at trichomes it’s essential to look at them from the side. The bulbous heads can magnify the opaque stalk under it. Looking from the side allows you to more accurately see the condition of the resin in the trichome head.

There is still no rush to harvest, the window just opened, and you have several weeks before you MIGHT start having to think about it possibly beginning to get too ripe. It takes WEEKS for plants to mature not days.

It is very easy to harvest a plant to early. It is very hard to harvest a plant to late. I’ve never seen someone accidentally wait too long.

Chemdog progeny will do this as well...particularly Chem 4
They tend to throw new pistols long after ripening, regardless of grow medium or environment.

Make sure there's no mold hiding in the colas. That's what got me once when i had a plant that wouldn't finish.

You loosing the plant to mold is not what my statement was about. It was about people being afraid to “over ripen” their plants. That plant you posted looks sad and had many problems including poor genetics from the looks of it. An unhealthy plant that is fighting issues is going to be very susceptible to mold or other pathogens. That is a totally different issue. Healthy plants in a stable environment should have much less issue finishing and ripening properly. However it’s always a good idea to watch plants later in flower especially if they have larger and or dense colas that don’t allow good air flow. I ran a WW plant for years that I always had to pull a week or 2 early because it was so dense it wanted to mold. At the time I didnt have a way to run a dehumidifier or control the environment better so I had to work with it. It was still very dank bud, but based on a couple plants I got the extra weeks out of, it could have been better.

So to reiterate, I have never seen someone accidentally wait to long to harvest from a ripeness perspective.
 
The ops plant reminds me of this plant I'd nicked named "Side Show Bob". I ended up thrashing most of it after spending way to much time with it. Learning experience.
