Built your own still... you'll have to get a CO2 monitor and tell us how well it works!Today finished building the moonshine still, prepared the first batch of 50L mash.
It consists of flaked corn, barley, sugar, water and yeast.
From the barrel, through the waterlock, hopefully lots of Co2 will enter the tent the coming 3 weeks

Do you cook your mash and than ferment for three weeks in a tub before running in the still? Nice still good workmanship and welding with copper. That is an art. PeaceToday finished building the moonshine still, prepared the first batch of 50L mash.

I am running 2 cxa3590 at 50w each with a fan and the heatsink is cool to the touch along with the remote driver. Peace

Are you using the 72V or 36V version of the CXB3590? If you are using the 72V version, can you dim your driver down to 700ma? If not, get a big ass fan or a few little fans blowing on the heatsink and you will be fine.

Like me, you are being forced to see how close you can get your lights to the tops of your plants, because you are running out of room to raise the lights. Perhaps if you had kept the light closer to the tops of the plants when they were smaller, they wouldn't have stretched quite so much.Found one, next week i'm getting another power meter to test with.
Day 56, 21th day of bloom:
I definitely overdid it with the growth period, they stretched even more.
Right now the lamps are almost at the highest point possible.

In my case it's most definitely the growth period that was wayy to long
If you wanna make a still, but don't wanna fiddle with copper, make a "Samogon Aparat"
It's a russian moonshine still, usually made from a pressure boiler, much easier to make.
I got some bottles of Samagon in my closet, straight from Russia (my girlfriend is russian) guud stuff!

This is my first LED setup, and much of it is also borrowed from fellow RIU members.
So you could try and copy this setup, since it seems to work just fine so far. Just remember that when you're in a hot climate, make sure to get the slightly larger heatsinks, like Growmau5 is selling via Cutter.
I will try dimming ... vents are no option... I need less heat no vents if that's possible
Ok... I have a dimmer but no clue what pins to use for what cables... I asked a guy to test it and he said he doesn't know for sure and told me to try middle pin and right pin as I look to the rotative thing... I saw in mau5 video he said the opposite middle and left... Then I tested it with a multimeter but I get same values no matter how I connect the wires.... What would happen if it's connected wrong? Will it break anything?

Well, i finally found a second power consumption meter.
The readings are a bit off, so i give you the average: 520W
Day 61, 26th day of bloom:
Luckily growth stopped in time, some tops are pretty close to the COB, but no problems are visible.
The moonshine mash is bubbling nicely, a lovely mixed smell of fermenting barley and blackjack fills the tent
China send me a nice fish-eye/macro lens for my phone today, so me and my girlfriend were busy taking lots of pictures of the flowers when we arrived home

Still didn't use the far reds, i'm delaying that till next grow
