How many plants?
I wouldn't do more than one... than again I just wouldn't grow with that little amount of light, the harvest won't be worth your effort

lol definitely not, your grossly underestimating how much light youll need...

I vegged with 8 26w 6500k CFL's on 3 plants, only kept two, now I'm flowering with 6 2700k 42w CFL's for TWO plants (total of 252w), and they love it

There just wont be enough light on the plants, I was using 6 26w 6500k CFLs with like month old plants from seed, and I think that was just barely enough.

Someone told me AT LEAST 80w or 90w PER plant

Mind you this is ACTUAL wattage, not equivalent...

Yeah I was talking actual wattage okay no problem except I was wondering I bought outlet adapters to hang the lights in from extension cords but i've seen grow boxes where they screwed the lights in and everything. I was wondering what I buy to set up that many light adapters and everything a picture of what I need would help alot.

To each his own...

you got
these right?

Well CFL's produce the most light, not at the tips, but at the sides, so the more you can angle them, or reflect the side light, the better.

Some people build reflector hoods, I wouldn't fuck with that for CFL's.

What I do, is I get (3) of those light socket Y splitters, and I screw the two of them into one. So now instead of one socket, I have 4.

As for the original socket, I just unscrew the tin hood off of the "Work lights" you can find at home depot.

Then I screw in 4 light bulbs, and drop one of those lights above a plant, they LOVE that.

As for hanging them down, I have my box under a clothing rack so I have a large bar that I put my hangars/clothes on and I just wrap it around that...

I use this knot that is hard to explain, but the way it works is that the MORE you pull down on the bulbs, the TIGHTER it gets, sort of like a noose? You just don't want to duct tape it up or tie it tight in a knot because now adays I'm bringing my lights up almost every day...

Thank you so much I got the perfect Idea. I bought 3 of the outlet adapters so I figure I will hook up the outlet adapter to an extension cord hang 1 straight down then I will add those 2x Socket converter to my outlet converter in total I will have 8 CFLS.
A total of around 130 Watts:
2x 26 Watt 6500k Daylight
6x 13 Watt 3000k Soft White
Does this sound good? How many plants do you think I could grow off it?
MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION: I saw 26 Watt CFLS but they weren't 6500k and it did not say Daylight on the box. What is the difference because I could get the THREE 26 watt without the "6500k daylight" For the same price as 2 "6500k Daylight." CFLS
