1300+ Watts in a 4x4 tent. Is there such a thing as too much?

Title says it all. I've got a 4x4x6.5 tent with a 1k hps and just added my 300w LED. I've got some cfl lights but didn't put them in. Can you have too much light or too much of a certain spectrum? I've got some veg girls and seedlings along with a flowering critical Jack. The critical Jack goes into another room for it's dark.

Nope, looks great man.
The only way to have too much light is if the temps are getting too high or you have too much light penetrating into the res which will cause algae and root rot.

Well sometimes too many lumens per square foot can be a waste, there is a formula but what your doing is fine, like these guys are saying watch your heat! ~ BCbuddy420 :leaf:

Heats only reaching 80° lights on. Just cracked window so that should lower it considerably since I'm in SD.

My hood has a removable reflector. In case you're referring to light coming out the side. But it does the job and I can get my temps down into the 50s if I wanted.

read up on the hood 4x4 the hood is spot on for your room, way way better than your getting now 4sure...thats all im saying........ ;-)

Ok thanks. The good about mine currently is that mine doesn't have to be centered. But I'll definitely check it out.

all im saying is, from the 1000w you will get way way more light to your plants than you are getting now, hhmm bigger buds 4sure. now that is better ;-)
