135 days since 12/12 flip... Extremely long vegged... Too long? Overdue?

So I'm roughly 135 days since the 12/12 flip... The flip was put off due to the space not being ready, so the veg time was considerably longer than necessary...

I'm looking at my trichs and they're pretty much clear I believe I don't know about cloudy and definitely not amber... at least with what I can see using a 30x loupe...

The buds are there and swollen nicely, but the hairs are just now starting to get the first brown hairs that are externally visible... I can see some decent frosting going on and I'm guessing it's as good as they'll get given the genetics... I think inside the bud they've been browning for a little longer - but not pronounced enough where you'd notice without the magnification helping to see deeper into the bud itself...

So, where do you all think I'm at timewise? Is it chop time? Bagseed genetics from commercial so I can't speak as to strain... and I can't do pics which I know would help...

I'm thinking they're way over due and the 'signs' I'm monitoring for aren't happening or haven't been noticeable... plus I'd like to get things wrapped up so I can take care of a few things in between runs...

As a side note/question, I've got 2 plants left that went into flowering and didn't go male on me... Originally I thought both were the same strain but they aren't from what I'm seeing... One was the 'healthiest' of the original 6 and it survived... I thought it would turn into a monster given the veg time... The other was doing moderately well but didn't have nearly the foliage or heartiness of the other... What I have now are 2 plants... one who's buds have quite a bit of leaves sticking out of the buds and on the plant itself - it was the 1st one I mentioned, whereas the other never got quite the same foliage but it's bud onset came on much quicker and it's simply covered in bud sites... hardly any leaves coming out of the buds or on the plant itself... So they appear to be quite different genetics... any speculation on whether one is Indica and one is Sativa given that little bit of info?

order some seeds, will save you time, energy, money and you'll get better product. Bagseed from commercial should be avoided.

No matter what strain it is it will be done when the trich's tell u it is
I've been trying to do the "read the plant" approach... which is why I hadn't really kept track of the # of weeks... but when I started thinking back to the actual date and did the math I was sort of shocked...

So - stick with the reading of the trichs huh? Does it sounds like they're on track at least or does tihs sounds unusually long... regardless of being ready or not...

Got some! This was a test run only... but it was going well enough to at least see it through and try out the new setup with cheap (free) seeds first before poping anything of value... Another reason I'm ready to wrap this one up... But I need some electrical work done on the house before I start up anything new...

Sounds like they are doing what they know best. Yh the trichs are the definitive answer from the plant telling u she's ready. What are your temps lights on/off? Cold temps can really slow a plant down. And a few other things!

Bro. Post some picks.

I had wondered what all types of conditions would slow things down... i.e. common mistakes a n00b like me would make such as ph wrong/flux or ppm levels too high? I didn't do as well as I should have - knowing the 'next' run would be far more dialed in - i.e. I bought a Stealth RO200 for next go... Could either of those two type of things effect the flowering timeframes? I had suspected the extremely long veg time would have perhaps shortened things... but perhaps it somehow extended it? I'm no biologist so I'm not ruling anything out...

As for temps, the air that is taken in comes directly from living area and I believe I'm pretty much in the 70-80 band in the 76/77 I'm thinking lights-on... Haven't checked lights-off but it has a high/low that I'll reset & check... the res is actually around 68 last I checked (using a 7-day igloo cooler with lid barely cracked to let electrical/air in)...

I'm pretty sure I didn't have any serious light leaks this time but if there were they'd be very very small... i.e. I used 2 90 degree elbows to make a light trap on the inlet...etc... But under the door there was a gap for sure... Nothing hermied so I don't think it's a culprit...

I did the same sort of 'test run' when I started out. I'm not saying the experience and the hands on gardening that you're doing now isn't meaningful and worthy, just that the genetics you start with may in fact drive you insane and possibly cause you to purchase a few things that may be unnecessary. By commercial bagseed I take it you may have mexican sativas which can flower for a very long time. What happens is the people tending these massive fields miss some males, this is almost always small mutated runted males barely hanging in there which manage to go unnoticed and they pop their pollen sacks fairly quickly. Right there the already not so good genetics just got fifty percent worse by the male.
Pop the good genetics and watch how different of a show you have.
Before you buy a RO, what is your ph and ppm of your tap?

As long as you do not stop loving her, the time you invested into her will be worth it. That is true with all women- plant and human alike. Just keep her happy and healthy and she will keep you toasty and wealthy, hahahaha.
