1400 hps w/co2 & a/c

put your ballasts outside the closet. I rewired the ballasts so all i had to do was drill a hole in the closet wall snake the cord thru it and reconnect with the ballast. I now dont have to use the AC barely at all.

welcome aboard maryjanecares, i'm always open to suggestions and the ballast is outside of the closet. i still have to run the a/c 24/7 thanks to the texas heat.

alright folks, wish i kept better journals so i could go back and reference, but when switching to 12/12 doesn't the males show sex before the females? and it seems like the males were always easier to nute/fert burn?

Males usually do show before females. Those veggies look nice man, did you grow those cloves of garlic yourself?

so far i'm loving the coco but still more comfrotable with the soil and getting better results with soil. but i'm sure once i figure out feeding i'll have a 100% coco grow going. what i like most about the coco is the watering. my dirt plants are getting watered every 2 or 3 days. the coco will hold water up to a week without fear of overwatering.

lol, like the first sentenced stated my cursor would jump around and have me typing in the middle of a sentence and it was frustrating the shit out of me. well i ran a few patches and was testing it.
being the lazy stoner that i am, i tested in riu since i already had it open instead of openning notepad. i just closed explorer when i was done thinking it wouldn't post. i did fix my cursor problems.

i've been thinking of ways i could leave my grow for a week without having to buy pumps and timers. what if the closet gets lit with one 26 watt cfl? i'm thinking with the one light it would bring growth to almost a stand still, slowing down the need for food and water. i've looked all over the place for a thread that addresses the problem but couldn't find any. does anyone have a link to share?

besides trying to figure a way of leaving the girls by themselves for a week everything has been going great. ended up with 51 dry grams from the bagseed. the temps in closet are much better with the lows in the 60's and the highs in 70's, humidity is higher than what i like, staying in the 70 to 80% range. i added another fan and i'm not really seeing anything to worry about.

the 2 blue mystic girls are looking healthy and ready to pick any day. i'm starting to see a blue tint to the plants. maybe another week.

the one northern light girl is getting tall and thick. the leaves on this plant are massive.

the bagseed clone has bud sights all over the place, and it smells just as nice as her mother.

the 4 blue mystic clones that are in the flowering closet are getting nice and fat.

and the rest of them are doing good, no signs of sex yet.

i've got the 1 northern light male with 2 small blue mystic clones. going to get some seeds.

I've never read anybody doind anything like the plan you are thinking. I persoanally think it is a good idea, but don't know if it will work or not. I'm sure someone has written about their experience with something similar.

got a male papaya plant in a closet with a 26 watt cfl on a 12/12 timer. lets see how long he'll live with no food or water. long enough for the pollen sacks to mature i hope
