get that $119 400hps from htg. its quiet and it doesnt get very hot. i dont even run a fan on it

with your 250W HID - did you keep the ballast in the box or outside of it? I'm concerned about the heat a 250W would generate - but, wondering if using a remote ballast would help considerably with heat? Also- what size CFM fan did you use? DO you have a carbon filter? I'm planning a 2x2x3 box and was thinking of using a 250W HPS. I am considering putting the ballast outside the box. Any advise on what size fan I would need? 50CFM?

they got used 400 watt hps' on ebay at the moment for like 80 bucks guy used them as displays in his store, i bought one 2 weeks ago, comes with batwing and remote ballast. very happy with my purchase
