150w HPS light....how close to a baby plant?

Definitely going to leave it where it is at then, it seems to be doing good with it at 17" away.

Hahhaah Wrong Listen to Lime Put your hood at like 12 inches wait 10 mins and stick your hand under the light just above the soil and feel how hot it is lower or raise accordingly thats what you do with ALL lights no matter if they are CFL HPS or MH you want them as close as you can get them without burning your babies.... If yous babies look like they are twisting its probably to close and to hot for them. Also you have to go to people profile and check them out before taking any advice on here cuz there are a lot of people on here just spiting knowledge out of their ass and not from experience...

Agree w/ lime, once you've got a few more nodes (4-6) then you can start lowering it slowly. Last grow I ended up w/ my 150 about 6" away but that was in flower. Seedlings are fragile so be extra conservative w/ changes till its a bit bigger.

Im at 4 nodes now and I have it lowered down to 12"

I have seedlings currently under a 150 hid. And any closer than a 10" or so seems to affect them adversely.i am a newbie. So i have little experience.
