150w hps trouble!! need help fast!!

idk if this is the place to post this kind of thread or if anyone here will even be able to help... but i have a 150w hps setup thats on a timer and was just about to switch from 18/6 to 12/12 and when i woke up yesterday and checked on my plants i noticed my lights werent on... so i checked the timers and the timers are still good and working, and the hps light is still good and working but for some reason the electrical socket has no power.. i checked my breakers and everything seemed to be in place and none of them were popped. anyone have any ideas on why the hps light, or timer couldve blown out the electrical socket? kinda scared to plug the setup into another source due to the fact that i dont wanna mess anything else up. anyways, my plants have been without light since yesterday so any help to get this fixed so they can be put to their 12/12 cycle would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance

Did you flip the breaker off and on? sometimes a breaker won't look like it has been tripped even though it has. If its a gfi protected outlet there would be a reset on the outlet, or whatever outlet it is wired to. if you have a reset on an outlet on the same circuit as the one your using try resetting that one.

like stone said, you need to flip the breaker on then off to make sure. sometimes they pop and the switch only moves a tiny bit....ive been fooled by that a few times.

also, electrical sockets do go bad. when i moved into this house i had to change 4 sockets cuz for some reason they didnt work anymore, so that could be your problem as well.

is the socket burnt or black at all?
