150w HPS?

Can i use a 150w HPS from start to finish in a SOG in my cabinet is 30" high x 24" long x 24" wide or should i go for a 300w dual spectrum CFL?

i use a 150 hps in a 24"x24" grow space w/cooltube and a 4" 120cfm fan. i can fit up to 6 plants with 2-4 branches on each yeilding about an 0z per.
i even have about 18" of room in the bottom for a veg/clone/mother chamber with T5s.

you probably can use it for start to finish. if you are buying a new light, i would get a 250w duel digital with a cool tube. that way you can dial it down in summer. and you can have both blue and red light.
if you already have it then just use it for veg or get a cheap t5 2 bulb x 2' or some CF for vegging.

Im gonna purchase some lowryder purple jems seeds the mature plants average between 8" to 12" tall give or take a few inches, im gonna germ all 10 and will prob get 4-8 females im using 3.5 litre square pots there about 7" high and 6" wide and with a 150w HPS and reflector around 8" so that gives me around 15" to grow the plants so i might have to lst a bit if have some lanky phenos, if i used a 12cm pc fan as an exhaust and 12cm as an intake with the HPS what should my temps be would i have to add another exhaust maybe? sorry for all the questions

i use 2.5 gal pots. for flowering

i am partial to cool tubes.
your light and plants should fill that space....just top them early and prune to 3-5 tops on each.
you might be ok with those fans during cooler months.

i use the small 4" squirrel cage fan. its a little noiser then pc fans but works great, temps stay under 85. i exhaust into the attic and fresh air comes from the window.

cooling is just something you have to figure out for your own situation. some things to consider:
what are you growing in? tent?
where is your intake air coming from?
where are you exhausting too?

you dont need an intake fan. just pull the air out and have an opening the fresh air can enter through (using something to keep the light from entering).

well i could pot up into larger pots depending on how many females i get if the majoraty are female say 8/10 then ill use the 1 gal pots if i get like 4 females 6 males ill use 2 gallon pots, im growing in january so the fans should be okay as its cold over here, im growing in a PC desk cabinet stealth 2.5' tall x 2' long x 2' wide im building it myself, my intake air is coming from my house maybe ill open a window slightly and exhaust out the same window the threads ive read on purple jems say that they dont smell like weed when growing it smells sorta like lavender/fruity so im just gonna use an ona block and airfreshener for odour control

you will need a small can filter, 6 plants can get mighty smelly for the last 1.5 months.

a can fan is not in my budget ive heard great reviews from ona blocks and also i gonna get lavender air freshener as like i said these plants smell like lavender/fruity and not like very much like weed
