150w mh with a 250w balast? 150w mh or 150w cfl for veg?

Hi
I have a 250w balast that can handle both, hps and mh. Can i use an 150w mh with that balast without damaging the lamp?

Now i have some plants that are vegging under 3 cfl's that have a total of 150w, would this metal halide lamp perform better than the cfl's for vegging?

DONT DO IT......BOOM.... and yes MH lamps are more intense then those cfls
