Well, I have a homemade "closet" that is approximately 3.5'x4'x6'. I top once to get 2 main stalks. Then tie them down in opposite directions, followed by tying lower branches at 90 degrees from what I tied the top. This creates a kinda cube shape to plant and in the end will usually fill my closet space up nicely. I've had some grow wild on me but have had decent luck with this technique. I use a 600w air cooled good with cfl lighting on side and a couple t5 reptile bulbs for uv.
To tie down plant I simply take some screws with the hook or eyelet on the end, screw them into the top of my bubble buckets lids outer edge and tie stems down to them with some foam plant wire (not to tight though). I usually screw 8 eyelets into lid in an octagonal shape around outside. If you top at 5th node then 8 eyelets will usually work out so you can tie down most of your limbs to form your plants shape. When plants get bigger I usually untie from eyelets and run a 2-3' piece of 1/8" all-thread through the eyelets forming an X and pulling branches down and re-tying to the all-thread. This keeps branches going outwards instead of turning upwards toward light. From time to time you may have to tighten ties down gradually to keep tension and pull on limbs.

Inbox me some details I'd like to try this .I do let but grow 4 plants in 1.2mtr x1.2mtr x2mtr

Thats what ive been looking into, my original plan was to grow as many plants i could fit in my tent, i would use at least one gallon pots. but i dont know if it would be better to have just one plant in 15gallon pot and scrog her.
Go for a few larger plants. In cramped conditions the plants fight for dominance and light and just stretch like crazy. I tested this out. Ended up tossing all but one winner.

Your plants look so healthy. I love the blurple lights for veg. I miss mine.

Thats what ill end up doing than. today i pulled out 12 of the smallest plants that look less healty than the rest. I did so to make room in between the plants because i like it best when there is no direct contact between plants.

Lets see how long it takes before i run out of space again :bigjoint:

I'm doing an experiment that has turned out really well. I'm using a wide pot it's actually a plastic tote from an office store but the width of it has made for an awesome turn out on my super cropped Black DominaView attachment 3959438 View attachment 3959439I have since decided that width accounts for a whole lot more then depth
This is really cool, I'd been considering going wide vs deep to maximize grow height. Also just got some black domina seeds too! Maybe my favorite. Haven't had it in 15 years but I remember it hit me hard. A friend and I had a shared hallucination that day... We both heard someone we know say the same thing, but that person was not there.
Hey I noticed your planter is clear- I heard roots do a lot better when they aren't exposed to light.

Yeah I've heard the same crap but this thing is doing amazing so whatever I think it's big enough and that I had enough plants in there in the beginning and it's wide enough now that it the light wasn't exposed to the roots. It didn't become rootbound until there was enough Leaf coverage not to have to worry about it. Yeah I'd definitely abdicate for wider pots here's a new picture of the Black Domina it doubled in size in the past week1497633828440-433201890.jpg

20170618_081834.jpg update: i transplanted the best ones to 1qt pots and gave away the rest due to spaceing. All of them were top yesterday

And planing on changing the cycle to 12/12 next week

Shit man thats a hell of alot of diference!
It looks like the plant streshes wider in the wider the pot is!

How have you been toping the plant?
This plant hasn't been topped, just supercrpped and heavy LST ! I do all organic with Fox farms the closest thing I've gotten to topping this plant is a technique that I use we're all about the 3rd or 4th week of flowering you pick a couple of the colas that you created through supercropping and you pinch the very top of the nug really hard then after you let go you tap on the tip of the nose that you just pinched until it fluffs up again. After about a week or so that part of the nug is going to turn a darker color so you clip it off with Precision trimmers. And when you cut these tips off you go ahead and cut the very tip of the primary cola off as well but during this process you don't pinch the very main cola but it's very important to Target the secondaries what this does is it sends a hormone through the plant to immediately beef up the buds

As he said 4-5 is ok that seems like 2 nodes so let it grow a bit and stronger.
I just did the one thats tied down at 2 or 3 nodes. Ill end up pulling out some plants due to space limitations so i just wanted to know how it would work for me. If it doest ill just move on and experiment with the next plant

Ye had space issues too this time, cause I had to get a decent Dehumidifier, this wasn't the main problem, it was the fan.
I used to keep space for the fan, then I could scrog everything to fill up all the space, with the Dehumidifier, I had to place the 16" fan on top of it attached chain to it, just incase due to vibrations it risked dropping off.

So I basically lost almost 1/4 of my canopy this time.... I guess, I need to get me some new Clip Fans so I can remove that Big Fan and take back my 1/4:cuss::fire::wall:.
I did look for fans even on amazon etc seemed no clip fans were available at the time apart from 2 rubish ones which were like $40-50 each, O'Rly and do I also get it sucked in the process for that price?:o:bigjoint:
