16 Different strains, any grow advice?

Hey RIU,
First post here! I've been growing for a while though. My problem is I have to many strains going and all plants are different as we all know. I'm just wondering if anybody has any grow tips for any of my strains. I'm growing in all organic soil with Fox Farm nutes...It would be much appreciated! Here's a list of what I have going:
:leaf:

Auto's:
Think different autoflower

Cheese autoflower

Photos:

Hash plant-Clone

Brainstorm G13 haze-Clone

Skunk 6-Clone- Can't find any info!

All from seed :

Blue Dream Haze

Kandy Kush

Super Lemon Haze

Tangerine Dream

Afgan kush X Skunk

Afgan kush X White Widow

Sweet Deep Grapefruit

Medi #2

Liberty Haze

High Tension

Pineapple Chunk

I want a mixed bunch... I like to smoke a little of this and that. What's the problem? I never said I can't grow it, just wanted to know if anyone has been growing any of these for a while and had game changers they might want to share.

The problem is that you have asked for advice, but also said you have grown awhile. So unless you get more specific, don't expect anything better than what I have given (which is nothing).

Have you ever heard of "Keep It Simple Stupid"?

You have autoflower and photoperiods growing together? Why??? Now you are going to have to flower the autos under 12/12 (instead of 20/4) - that is the wrong way to grow autoflowers. It'll probably work, but you are going to lose quantity and quality because you cannot keep the lights on long enuf to maximize the benefit of autoflowers.

You have fast flowering indicas growing alongside slow flowering hazes. Why??? Your indicas are going to ripen and get harvested and you will still be running the same size gro op but with half of your garden space vacant. Do you really want to be running a grow operations that was set up for 16 plants with just 4 haze plants left?

You have planted short, medium and tall strains all together. Why??? With all those different strains, how are you going to keep your lights at the right height above the growing plants? This is probably going to be your biggest headache. tending to all the different miocro-nutrient deficiencies that are likely to appear might really fuk you up too.

"Have you grown any of these strains?" The question is irrelevent. What difference will it make if, for example, you got advice about growing haze on a five gallon pot for 20 weeks - that advice would not apply to the other 90% of your garden.

Look, you do not seem to have the experience to successfully grow all those different strains. I advise you to get some Miracle Gro chemical fertilyzer and also get some kelp extract and fertilyze everything using half strength. I'd probably also add some sugar or corn syrup or molasses to the water also.

Once those plants get big, how the fuck are you going to properly water 900 different size plants too??? Especially for those hazes, if you keep the soil too wet, you risk fucking up the plant. You are going to have to be checking the whole garden every day to see who needs to dry out a little more, who is too dry and needs water.

Is it possible for you to just put the whole bunch of them outside? That would make it alot easier for you.

As far as I know Tangerine dream is Quite unstable with 100+ days flower...SLH won't disappoint u I think probably best thing GHS ever did one of my fave plants if I had space:/

Not once did I said I was growing auto's and photo's together, never said if I was growing outside or inside either... All the strains I have are supposed to finish within 10 days of eachother, other then the brainstorm x g13. I can grow all different size plants, you just have to tie em down, when growing inside...

To be honest I started with 20+ strains all outside... I have been weeding out each one and growing clones out of the pheno's I want to keep while keeping the strains less desireable growing outside still, never having to just throw away..The Auto's have been outside from day one and are almost done.

P.S If you have a problem watering your plants and feeding corectly you probably shouldn't be growing!

You should grow outdoors - give each a lot of space and use LST. Growing indoors, you should grow just one or two strains at a time and SCROG them.

I agree the SLH is one of the best growing strains I have along with the Kandy Kush. Tangerine dream kinda sucks not really happy with it. Honestly all the ones from Barney's aren't very good, that's just my experience so far...

18 different strains...But my autos go in my veg tent.

Not sure what advice youre looking for. I know, and would assume that you would too, that growing multiple strains just makes for that many more individual issues to deal with, and that many more individual feed schedules. So far I've managed to do pretty well. I mix up 5gal of whatever nutrient mix I'm using, and feed with a sump pump and a wand. Bigger/hungrier plants just get a little more nutrient mix.

About the only advice I have is to keep impeccable records of everything you do. You wont be able to remember whats what otherwise.

Also, get a support system(trellis, cages, scrog, or individual ties) and place your strains accordingly for height. I've never grown most of these, so I was guessing based on indica/sativa influence. I managed to keep my heights mostly even, had to use 3 risers for shorter plants.
I'm in modified FFHF(ewc, lime, perlite) and feed the FF trio +ewc tea, molasses, and Pro-tekt.

Lucky for me I haven't had and nutrient problems. I try to just keep an eye on each plant and can tell when my babies might need a little extra... With keeping my mothers outside I've been able to cut from each one at different times to keep flowering time closer together. Although I do have to use risers once and a while. I tie each plant individually which seems to work for me. I do keep a grow log and keep record of every feeding, days clones are cut, and about every other thing you could imagine. We use pretty much the same nute's plus I use blackstrap molasses.

"16 Different strains, any grow advice?"

a bunch of grow tents, and lots of lights. one tent for autos, one for the SLH , LH & BDH , and any other longer flower time. one for you Indaca's.

No one's mentioned the simplest solution..

Vertical lighting

Hang a bulb down in the middle and then just surround it with plants. Differences in strain heights won't matter as much, since you're lighting the sides and don't have the issue of keeping an even canopy that you have with horizontal lighting.

one tip: If you go this route, don't rotate your plants. Keep one part facing the light(s) the whole time. You can prune little shoots on the back sides if they're not getting enough light.
Check the vertical section here on RIU. There's some good info. There are also some good vert threads on icmag

My advice would be not to do when just starting out but since youve already started your going to be in for a SHITLOAD of work on 16 different strains with 16 diff "personalities"...think of it has having 16 girlfriends literally theres no way to keep all them bitches happy all the time. Mike How much time do you think you spend a week on your grow? just curious

Grow them to the fucking ceiling man. If anything goes wrong you'll learn from it, which is more valuable than your 16 strains your going to harvest. But what "I" would do. is pick my favorite 2 and start training them under my t5s to be the bushiest plant possible and finish each one under its own 1000w in a 4x4 trellis box

I run a perpetual, 2 flower areas and one veg, and the flower tent I posted is the least time consuming of them all. It really depends on what's going on in the garden that particular week. Anywhere from 1hr on feed/water only weeks, to maybe 7hrs during harvest weeks when I have to transplant replacements, start training, cloning, cleaning the grow area, making any adjustments, etc.. Average is probably 2-3 hours/wk if I had to guess, and maybe a half hour of that is in the flower tent.

If youre implying or wondering if I spend extra time because I run numerous strains in that tent, I dont. I use a drip system to water, and a water pump with a wand to feed them from the same batch of nutrients. Any individual strains showing a deficiency or needing any different treatment get fed from a measuring cup which takes an extra 2-3 minutes at most, and thats the only extra work caused by having more than one strain.

Even with the same strain, I end up with several different pheno's. It may be a little less complicated to run fewer strains, but it's cool to be able to try out several and pick the best ones for future grows. Sounds like an interesting project.
