19g of kief/crystal run with 1 can of butane.. result + pics

I ran 19 grams of kief/crystal. it wasnt the purest... a bit of green to it. maybe I ground the weed up too fine. and there were small plant particles in there. still 90% crystal though.

anyways. I filled my small honey bee extractor up, and let it run.

1 can of butane into the main dish. the first few droplets were awesome... almost black. such a dark brown/gold. it looked delicious. the whole mix looked pretty damn foggy and potent.

I ran a 2nd can into a 2nd dish and there was basically nothing.. so little that I didnt bother to take pics or scrape it until im real bored.

heres some pictures. its not quite 100% purged even in the final pic. I tried a hoot already despite it not being fully purged, and it does seem to be quite a bit more potent than the normal oil. I was gonna say its nothing special.. but I actually had to stop typing and think to feel how high I am... and im actually pretty fuckin stoned lol. sure didnt get much though.

100g of shake got me 19g of nice oil.

100g of same shake got me 19g of crystal/kief. 1 can of butane ran through that got me approx 4 or 5 g of oil. the remaining 80g of weed that I shook all the crystals off was put into 1 giant ass batch and ran through a 2nd run in my bubble bags one night.

after purging for a while. little more to go before I call it good enough. im sure it would disgust some of you princesses here but I smoke it anyways.








so yeah, overall, nothing too impressive from 20g of kief damnit. I remember when we were young a buddy saved for like a year and got 7 grams. we ran it, and we were disappointed. kinda like I am tonight. 100g of shake turned into about 5 g of nice oil. not 4x as potent thats for sure for 1/4 of the yield. shoulda just invested 40$ worth of butane and ran the 100 grams as shake and got a 20 gram return again! live and learn.

running straight kief doesnt work if u try it thru glass u can watch the kief turns into a hard patty i think the gas doesnt flow thru thr properly

yeah I kinda noticed that it turned into a patty and that it seemed the second can had 0 resistance.. it just ran through the kief like it wasnt there (must have went around that pack)

I did shake it up though, like always, to keep it all seperated and mixed up..

the kief barely even looks any different after rinsing it. why? I thought there woulda been a shitload less.. so turns out that those white trichromes on the plant dont get completely dissolved like I had kinda always assumed. if they dont. where does the oil come from exactly? washes the outside of the trichrome?

next time kief 80 gr of that 100 mix the kief back in with the remaining 20.

I just re ran the remainder of my kief after letting it dry and again, I got nothing.

I think for next time, Im not even going to extract the kief... im just gonna do what ive always done.. chop the shake up fine, pack lots, and go spray some butane!
