1day of of MH light and plant is curving upward?

i did the hand test where u see if the light is too hot on your hand, to know how far to have them away from the plant. but..1215100817-00.jpg:confused:

its 400w, and about 10 - 12 inchs away. thanks haloman! but now i have a few browning leaves. they r the bottom two. leavs were all fine seems till i turned on mh light.. any ideas wud help thanx

10-12 inches above might be a little close for as small as that plant is....try raising the light a few more inches maybe.

raised the light everything seems to be fine now. man for a second there i thought i killed my plants one of them was drying up so bad a few leaves turned white.. now if i could jus figure out how to get rid of these little flies..

i use a 400 watt mh, i keep it about 20-24" away from my plants. neem oil and yellow fly tape work great for flys.

If you wanna get rid of those bugs you can soak a paper towel with vinegar or put garlic by your fan. I used to have little spiders that lived in soil but they left as soon as i left some garlic out, and mosquitos left right as soon as i put in some vinegar. But keep your MH about 16-20 inches away, HID light burn them fast.

Is your air flow good?
i use a 400 mh to veg and my plants love it.I keep it at 8-10 inches.but i do use a air cooled reflector
