1k hps, 900 watt led, 4 stage grow

the biggest plants pictured are in flower but not far, a week or two. were tryin to get larger harvests at once, so the 10 budding are kinda a harvest in between the last one and the next big one with 35 plants... i think the soil is going faster than the dwc i was doing but do to my own errors... ebb n flow is my favorite though

hi there iam new to the site and have been reading your posts on your LED grow that you have done looks really good i like it. ive been thinking of doing an LED grow my self. do you think that the set up iam thinking of would be good. or not enough!!!. your thoughts would be appreciated. thinking of having 3 x 120w ufo tri band LED lights and 2 x 45w warm light stip lights over 10 plants in a space 3ft x 5ft X 7ft from begining of veg to finsh of flower. as ive only ever used a 600w metel/h for veg and then a son T sodium for flower all done in a wilimina system with clay pebles . i like the idea of lower heat and less power be not sure if iam going to see similar results to using the metal/h and sodium. trying to get as much info as possiable befor spending money in the right or wrong places. thanks for any help.

they are nice lights, but they are more suited for supplementing hps for flower... for veg there is nothing better in my opinion

i got a duplicate of the sun system 1k digital fusion today, so there will be a 1k in each 8x4 with leds supplementing them

things are goin good... my party cup clone died though. been dealing with some sort of plant virus or bacteria, but i think we got it under control... heres a pic

hey kuz, lookin good man. I followed one of your last grows, I think it was the 740w led. I love to see what your doing with a product that everyone has bashed for so long, new technology is always interesting.

Still have not ventured out into the world of LED's myself, however I'm thinking about building a new veg room in the next 6 months. I was giving led's some consideration, what would you suggest for a 4'4' veg tent? LED wise. I have a much larger flower room that has plenty of HID's, but I have seen a tremendous price drop in UFO's and like the idea for veg.

Some of the grow sites say that one 90w triband ufo can cover up to a 5'5' area, would you agree? Sry for the thread jack, just wanted to pick the brain of a grower with firsthand LED experience.

thanks, no they dont do as big as the manufacturer claims, i would say for your 4x4 two ufos, depending on how big you wanna veg em

damn, all this rly wants me to start growing again.

Was thinking about trying a stand-alone growth with a 270w supernova enhanced spectrum, the best one there is i heard.
The idea is organic soil with about 6-8 medium sized plants and maybe a couple of 150w CFLs to support the outer edges.

U think it would work all the way ? second alternative is to go with the 600w hps for flowering, got a used digital sonlight ballast just wasting space in storage tho i might expect heat problems and that i go2 buy a couple of new bulbs :P? I'm kind of split up here bcuz it would be practical in one way but it would defeat the original purpose of growing economical in the long run and without heat problems.

Good luck and keep up the good work, its rly fun to see someone using leds =)

with a supernova and a couple 150 cfls you wont be saving but 30 watts from a 600hps... it will work, but yeah you already have the 600

ye but with the hps comes a 12,5cm extraction fan, new vented reflector for hps, ducting, muffler and so on + the grow closet is in direct connection to my living room. And most ppl i have over dont know i have my secret hobby of melting my face every weekend when i got nothing better to do :P so sound should pref. be at minimum.

Gonna go get the supernova whenever i can afford it, will post some pics for ya if i get it going.

here is the next round. the soil plants will be moved under the other 1k when flowered, and this tent will just flower the two ebb n flows. veg will be for about another month
