1LB closet build

So Ive acquired a new home with a roommate and about to complete my first grow. Everything has gone well.

Well come to find out our electric is dirt cheap. .06/c kw cheap. fuck yeah! My Job allows me to obtains building materials and such at low prices as well, so we are looking to build out a closet.

Currently running a 3x3x6' tent with scrubber, and 400w hps/mh setup. The setup is located in the basement right now. I can control temps well down here along with humidity with my large dehumidifier. Basement is heated as well.

We are looking to build out a small closet in the basement for a bit more security and noise help. Right now when you enter the house you can hear my inline fan running, and pretty much cant let anyone in the basement without seeing the tent setup and light glowing. So i would like a closet so that way it will help with sound and security.

The closet will be 5ft wide x 8ft long x 7ft tall ( roughly...will attach to rafters above ). build into the corner of the basement with door on 5ft side. Now for my next and future runs, i would like to do 1LB per harvest at least. I am willing to step up to a 600w since i just need a ballast and bulb at this point. I would like to do a SCROG setup as well.

Im thinking 2 5gal buckets , each under their own 2x2 scrog net. Now would it be more beneficial to do this within a 4x4x7 tent, or do in openly in the closet? that meaning i would build the closest sealed then exhaust the actual room air out. Or would i still be able to obtain a good yield within a 4x4 tent with 2 5 gals? If i did tents, i could possibly fit my 3x3 in the room as well to run a perpetual, otherwise if open to the room then i couldnt.

Any ideas will be taken into consideration and thanks in advance!

If your building a closet why try to integrate a tent or tents?

Make it two rooms, if you so wish. You can partition them how ever you like (dry wall, or panda paper, or tent like material with a zipper)

The loudest thing is going to be your exhaust fan (not the actual fan but air movement). You don't want to turn down the speed as your going to need air flow. You could get creative and run a long hard pipe duct (larger is better) with multiple diffusers along in between rafters, or below them.

yeah i was thinking of running the exhaust thru a ducting strung above over to where my dryer feeds to outside. then just put a Y in facing out of the house and run it out that way. Only reason i dont want to build the closet with seperate plant rooms is if we where to leave ( renting ) then it needs to just look like a closet ( and same reason to landlord on why we are building. just need a lockable storage room. )

IMO build a room big enough to house a 600w.

Keep your existing 400w and when you're achieving over 1gpw then look to increase your lighting.

I used to run a 600w, then it got taken (long story) so I down sized to 400w and have achieved more grams from my 400 than I ever did with my 600 because I honed my skills.
