Uggh... I checked New Hogan Lake on reserve america. Coyote point group area is already reserved for 420. Oak Knoll camp is where we go for the 4th.. there is a parking lot outside the gate.. and an interior parking lot, and are must have's as they are strict for 2 cars per camp. Camp spots 15-19 on the east side is ideal and where our group goes. Camping is $14, and day use is $4 per car. A bit cheaper than CFW. Or park outside the gate lot, and its free. There may be full hook up spots nearby as well for the luxury campers
The lake should be full, or approaching full in April. Hour shorter for the socal group, hour longer for the norcalians. Park rangers cruise Hogan more, but only talked to us for illegal parked cars, and late at night when we were too noisy, and that we were haha. Reservations are X'd out, so it might be first come first serve in April. We can check on that if there is interest. Options are nice.. I like CFW as well.
