A day off. A day to chill and do nothing in the privacy of a quiet house. After a week of all-of-a-sudden-being-employed-full-time-again... it's my day to chill.
I woke up normal time, but instead of having to rush to the shower and get all dolled up to face the working world, I was blessed with the very much earned day off with no obligations. I headed to the coffee pot and the couch, passing the magic room, looking in and nodding at the magic room's magic closet's door. The magic closet is where Tessa, Lisa, Minnie, Veronica and baby live. Closed and tight, all snug and safe, cords coming out of the bottom corner, taking advantage of the available electric outlet nearby. At 7am, they were hunky-dory.
I go into the magic room about an hour and a half later, somewhere around 8:30am and pull out a nug I'd acquired from a stash I'd tucked elsewhere in the magic room.
The hallway was dark. The door from the hallway to the magic room was open. The room was cast in the mid-morning light of dawn and the magic closet's door.....the door was open. It was about a foot ajar, letting in just enough of the mid-morning sun to allow me to see a silhouette of each plant individually.
Doh! With the cords running under the door, it doesn't latch, but fits snugly in the frame. Prying, curious, stoner kitty paws have somehow found a way........
It was closed when the magic plants went to bed. It was closed when I checked around 7am. They weren't due to wake up for another hour and a half when I discovered the door open. I snuck in and quietly closed the closet door again, giving them back their required darktime. Worse case scenario, they received light 2.5-3 hours too early.
I'm hoping they're okay with the light intrusion.
Freaking cats have learned to open doors.
They're about to wake up now. Off to go talk to plants....
