1st grow. 1 plant . 1 CFL LIGHT . =D

hello everybody , i am a newbie , and is for the first time when i try to grow up a plant. i don't know what kind of seed is because a friend give me for free. I use a closet for my plant , and i use regular soil from the "shop plant" , a CFL light 85W for now. I'm planing to buy a fan for the next week and maybe buy BIO-Bizz nutrients, (Bio Grow) for vegetation period. I use a termometer and idicates 28Celsius. I think is fine for now. The light plan is 24/0 and i just boiling water before i water my plant because i think it contains much clorine (sure i wait every time until the water it cools) . ANY ADVICE IS WELCOME. , i want my baby to grow up and i want to learn to do it right . Sorry for my english . I use a little bit Google Translate.


At this point is in the 13 day of growth. : D Is growing fast from my point of view. :-o:-o

you could just leave your water out for a day instead of boiling also you should move that light a lil bit so she doesnt start stretching for it other than that shes look healthy.
Also is that tin foil you got there? if so get rid of it it creats hot spots witch isnt good for your plant

if i move the plant a bit upper the temperature will be 30-31C , i measured it before,she's a bit tall because in the first 2 days i used an incadescent light and it was stretching, but from the moment i buyed the CFL she not strech anymore . i'm afraid ,my plant will be burned? . That tin foil i buyed from the supermarket, i see on the other member's grow room ,or other's thread or I am wrong? what type of foil i need? Thx for the advice man !

you need mylar or white paint , also cflls emit most of there light from there side not the top so youll probably have better results if you turn your bulb on its side. and if you put your hand over the top of your plant and the back of your hand doesnt get burned then your plant will be fine you want to get cfls 1-2 inches from your plants without burning them

I put it how you said , and i think i wil replace that tin foil with white write paper (like xerox paper) or something else is white . ;-) next week i will buy biobizz bio-grow for my plant , because is cheap and i don't have to much money to spend.It's better than not using anything i think. Is a decent nutrient?Someone used ? :peace:

ic well dnt get all w0rked up if ppl tell u have t0 spend 100's f $ 0n nutes that bullshit if all that u was able t0 aff0rd miracle gr0w w0uld w0rk just d0se it carefully since it is a very high nitr0gen level im using MG M0ISTURE C0NTR0L and damn its treating me l0vely il be p0sting pics t0night 0f my stealth gr0w when i wake my female up i just started lst training 0n mine s0 yea any nutes are g00d and deff get m0re life cuz m0re light = m0re bud

thx jockey :D and...yeah , i will try adding another 85W CFL , after buying a nutrient. i don't have to much $ to buy both in the same time :P . I have a question: is important to buy a fan or is optional in my case (1 plant, 1 light) ??,( i refreshing the air of the closet just opening and closing for 3-4 five per day and i leave the door a bit open ocasionally . )

First of all your setups legit bro. I was doing foil for awhile and it worked great. Eventually discovered Mylar, and went out and bought some car windshield reflectors. It's bubble wrap and Mylar works awesome. As long as you provide fresh air to it whether it be fan or simply opening the door than it should be fine. Will say I got 2 140mm fans juiced with 12v gently blowing on my plant and it's loving it. Careful not to overwater her and cause root rot. Never heard of the newts but it's better than nothing just started my seedlings in some and they love it.

I am from middle east europe, i can afford to buy online from US, it will be to much for me because i will pay allot of taxes, and here from where I am is difficult to find CFL from "town shop" . i hard finded a shop in town where i finded my actual light. thx man for youre advice.!

it more like a "china made" light ,he's price was ~8$ but on the box is written 85W . I dont know if is real or a bit lower voltage (like 60-70) , here's some photo. get a 125 watt red spectrum light for flowering or the blue one for vegging u can get both on ebay for 25 pounds

heyy man ive seen alot worse first grows so congrats on that move that light to an inch away so you can have tighter node growth

Lookin real good so far man. I'm just doing one plant as well but I'm using 4 100w output (26w actual) CFL's. I used tin foil on my last grow and the leaves looked like they had chicken pox from all of the hot spots. Our plants are about the same age too so it will be cool to compare the two :)
