*1st Grow-1000 WATT - PICS- VEG. Day 21- ADVICE- TIPS- COMMENTS- HELP

Pics of day 21 in veg. This is my first grow and I have 18 females, and am using 2x1000 watt HPS lights with Fox Farm "Ocean Breeze" soil, Fox Farm "Grow Big" nutes & Fish Imulsion.

They have all reached 1 foot after 21 days vegging, and plan on going 12/12 to flower once they reach 2 feet. I am surprised at how bushy they are already, they are almost as wide as they are tall! I have 3 different strains here. Blackberry, g-13 & Casey Jones.

Please give any feedback good or bad, it will only help my future grows. Comments are appreciated and given back with rep's. thanks for everyone for the tips. Happy Growing all!

thanks man. do you think there will be a big difference if i flower now at 1 foot tall vs a 1/2 foot tall? i want to get these things flowering but also want maximum yield... what do ya think?

Hello honda, very nice setup, and for a first grow as well!! what size is the grow room? an what venting setup have you got? 2000watt's is a lot of light, heat for a first time grow. good luck!!

thanks alot bro, appreciate it. I am excited but not sure if i want to flower them now at 1 foot- or wait until they are 2 feet tall,. What do you think? I heard they will double in size, is that true? i am hoping to yield between 2-3 lbs.

the biger you veg them the more you will yield, you want atlest 2ft, but how high is your grow room?

[ thanks bud. i just heard that 1000 watt is great for flowering, and i got a great deal on them from a friend. i am doing 2x1000 watt all whole grow. its a 12x12 foot room with 8 foot ceilings so room is not an issue. I live on the b each in H.B. so i dont have to worry ab out venting, and the breeze is nice. The room is never more than 78 degrees on a hot day. I am hoping for a 2-3 lb yield at least. I am thinking 2-3 ounces per plant is not too much to ask hey?

gotcha, grow room 12x12 with 8 foot ceilings. 2 feet hah? cool, ill wait then, they are growing about an inch per day, fast.

If you have the room for it then I would definitaly let them veg for longer.

It will be a huge difference if you let them get twice as big

that is what i thought, but just wanted to get clarification from someone with experience. thanks alot man, i'll keep you updated with pics. appreciate the feedback.

8ft thats good, are you thinking about toping them? or LST? if it was me, and you have lots of plants? i would top them and let them get to 2.5-3ft then flower them.

are you using cool tubes?

Those plants are bushy and stout, why the hell would you top them ???

i have topped a few of them using uncle bens topping method. I topped about half of them, and topped 1 of them 2 times to get the 4 main colas, we'll see how it goes. its looking good..

i am using 2x1000 watt HPS as mentioned on the post. I am using them for the whole grow and they are bushy. I was told to use mh for veg, but these HPS are GREAT! I did top about half of them already using uncle bens topping method, 1 of them is forming 4 main colas...

As you get more main colas!! and more often than not a bigger yield!! i get about 1/2oc more from 1 plant when topped.

i did top them, about half of them. They already have 4 shoots coming out of the top- going to be REALLY NICE AROUND NOVEMBER TIME----

ok brotha, wasnt sure if you saw that i topped them. thank you again bro. I am excited and feel that with all the research i have done, reading about others mistakes on here & learning, being a sponge, its finally paying off and its nice to get some props from an experienced greenthumb like yourself. Appreciate the feedbacK & will for sure post some pics with updates. I just noticed that there are journals on here so i am going to start posting there with pics. thanks again my man! reps to you.
