1st Grow (Bagseeds/DinaFem AutoFlowering Haze)

Here it is my 1st ever grow journal. I started germinating a bagseed on Sept 13th, 2010, the day after I learned my Mom was diagnosed with with Brain and Lung Cancer. My goal is to get her out here with me when her Cancer goes into intermission. She had brain surgery/ 2 weeks of Radiation(everyday) and starts her Chemo in 2 weeks. She needs to be stronger before she starts Chemo. My bagseed plants name is "MamaDude", that is my mother's nickname. I love my mom and I will do whatever it takes to help her and take care of her. Mom, I Love You and I dedicate this to you, GET WELL SOON!!! Ok, here we go....... This is what I am working with:

Seed:
- Bagseeds (some Mid Grade Medical)
- 1 DinaFem AutoFlowering Haze (Freebie from Attitude)
Set-up:
- 4' x 2' x 5' Grow Tent
- 400 Watt Cool Tube MH/HPS Light with Ballast
- 2 x 14 Watt Quad-Spectrum LED Light Panels (Supplement)
- 6" 440 CFM Fan(Pulls from Filter/Cool Tube/Out my tent/to Window)
- 6" Charcoal Filter
- 4" In-Line Duct Booster Fan (Supply)
- Non-Insulated Air Ducting 8"
- 2 x 6" to 8" Reducers
- Window A/C unit for hot days and cool temps
- 2 x 4" fans (in tent)
- Box Fan in bedroom
Nutes:
- Fox Farm Grow Big (6-4-4) / Fox Farm Big Bloom (.01-.3-.7) / Earth Juice MicroBlast (Mg/B/Co/Fe/Mn/Mo/An)
Soil:
- Supersoil Potting Soil (.14-.09-.02)
- Perlite
- Vermiculite
Water:
- Staright Tap water from sink is pH7.0 (Homer Bucket filled with 2 Air Stones/Water 2 days prior to Feeding)
- We have very good tap water( I am going to purchase a filter soon)
- "Making It Rain" (Riddle's Teachings)
Meters:
- pH/Light/Moisture

NOVEMBER 5th

MamaDude: 13 Sep 2010
Germ: 2 days (Wet PaperTowel/Zip-Lock Bag) Placed in my water heater room (Temps 89F - 98F).
Total Veg: 17 Days using CFLs (Daylight) 29 Days using 400 Watt MH Total: 46 Days
Total Flowering: Started 31 October (6 days using 400 Watt HPS)
:dunce:Problems: -Moisture Stress fixed by reading UB's Thread.
-Heat Stress (Before I got my tent there was a nasty Heat Wave reaching temps in the 90F - 101F.
-Dropped my Cool Tube on my Plant
-Nute Lockout/Mg : Flushed

MamaDude is a FIGHTER!!!! I just hope MamaDude turns out to be a Female. I made quite a few mistakes and the reason why MamaDude is looking so good now and is healthier because of all the good people of RIU. Especially the ones that are on my friends list. If you want there names, look at my Friends List. Every single person in there will help you with anything you need. THey care about us NEWBEES. I got mad love for all the great RIU family here, Thanks.

I am in no rush with my grow and I am really enjoying my new hobby and love for GROWING. I will add the other plants info tomorrow or the next day. I was gone for 4 days visiting my mom and she is doing better. Since I got back home yesterday I been soooooo busy.

Please feel free and comment anything about my grow so far. I made some mistakes but I am learning and I learn something new everyday from my plant and RIU. I am all ears and I hope you all stick around for the ride and can help me get through Flowering of my grow. Good, Bad or Ugly I want to learn and hopefully one day smoke my own bud. If MamaDude turns out to be a male, I wont be upset because the expierence alone and learning is so valuable that it will pay off in my next grow. Thanks everyone for helping me and I look forward to one day help others like you all helped me.

One last thing....This is My Grow Journal so spelling errors and grammar mistakes are OK!!!! LOL

NOVEMBER 5th

Chica (DinaFem AutoFlowering Haze): 09 Oct 2010
Germ: 2 days (Wet PaperTowel/Zip-Lock Bag) Placed in my water heater room (Temps 93F - 99F).
Total Veg: 16 Days using 2 x CFLs (Daylight)/14 Watt LED for 3 days only. Then I figured since it was Auto, I never LST'd and I wanted to learn how to curve the stem
LST: Start date: 25 Oct 2010. LST total days: 11 (I decided to stop LST cause I feel confident I can do it. I did make a sweet curve in this girl)
Flowering: N/A, when I see it starts to Flower I will put it inside my tent using 400 Watt HPS
:dunce:Problems: -Retarded leave structure, only had 3 leaves.
- Took a while for it to to get going.

This plant is really starting to kick in now. The Stem is insane and I dont feel like wrapping it around the container, just was expirementing to see if I ever run out of room in my small tent I can LST. I am going to let it grow from here on out (no more LST). Her name is Chica and she is getting big quickly. I Make It Rain on her too.

Tell me what you all think about my 1st LST and that crazy curve in the stem.

Next post will be Baby Lou, my 1st ever Top'd plant....I love learning this stuff because its going to make my next grow way better.

:dunce:Chalk up another NEWBEE-ism for me:dunce:....I forgot that HPS light has more heat and dry out my plants soil a lot fast then MH Light. I couldnt believe how fast the top part of my soil was dried. WOW!!

I checked MamaDudes Soil, its been 2 full days since I Made it Rain.....It was dried and I had my whole index finger in there. Seemed like it was time for a NUTE blast....
I fed MamaDude 50% of Grow Big and 50% Big Bloom. ( I only fed MamaDude till I saw alittle bit of runoff. Not much just enough to fill the soil up with Nutes. I guess it worked well, I will take pics tomorrow and post.

Last feeding I gave MamaDude 25% of Grow Big and 50% Big Bloom. I am still trying to learn how to read my plant.

MamaDude ph before feeding was 7.
After adding my nutes the soil was just under 7pH
Temps in tent were perfect today Min: 72F 28%rH Max: 80F 50%rH. I did run my A/C in the room for about 2 hours in mid-afternoon.
Sex of MamaDude is still UNKNOWN....

hey whats up man. looking great, (this is a reply from other thread, i want to check this grow out) i think that its awesome of you to take the initiative to try new things for your plant. Im wondering if you are "LSTing" your one plant in a circular formation around the edge of the pot its in? if so that is going to create a wicked looking plant. and i would say you arnt going to need to worry about space if your flowering your biggest plant right now. looking great

DAY 6 FLOWERING MamaDude

I will be calling MamaDude "MD" (easier to write)

Pic# 1: MD sleeping
# 2: MD eating NUTES after 1st RainFall
# 3: MD strectching ( should I move my plant closer to the light?):dunce:
Sex unknown still
MD is really starting to stretch up and I dont know if its cause my light is too high or its normal for it to stretch like that. Any help or advice is welcomed. Please feel free and coment on anything good or bad, I welcome all.
I am going to measure MD tomorrow after One full week of Flowering!!!!

LSTing DinaFem Auto Haze

I decide to LST this plant in the shape of a ? (Question Mark) aka I am a NEWBEE and I ask a lot of QUESTIONS.....LOL It looks sweet IMO.

Let me know what you think.....it looks cool but I wanted to see if I was able to really curve the stem. Enjoy and thanks for reading my journal.

woah your "MD" is getting much healthier looking in terms of leafs and plant filling out. the stretching does not look too sever and that happened to my plant when i put it into flowering. it didnt show its sex for over a week so i just put it outside and turned my lights back to veg. It is now a female praises to Jah.

Maui do you have a link for your grow? I am interested to see your grow, thanks for the nice words of MD....I hope that one day soon I can call MD (Her/She/Girl) LOL. I am glad Jah was good to you bro.

i dont have a thread up, im thinking i will put one up after the first harvest. i just put a plant out a week ago and is now a week into flowering so once that one is harvested and the 2 next larger ones are into flowering, i will post a thread. but its a very very very simple set up grow process with little room for error. as of right this moment: i have 1 plant that showed sex on wednesday outdoors. i have 2 plants approx 7 in tall indoors WITH 4 sprouts all under 4x 26watt cfl's. i also have 2 fans and 1 big bowl of water all under a cabinet. as for ventilation i keep it opened up to a cool room during the day when the lights are on and cover it at night. all plants are pepper kush and i feed them with Alaskan fish ferts but today i applied a foliar feed to the 2 7inch plants. its a great easy cylce that i wish to advance with a growtent when i have the space for it in the future.

Whenever you get a chance to get pics or start a journal feel free and post so I can follow along.

I have to go to work now but I did checked MamaDude this morning and I will be giving updates with pics cause I think there are finally signs of SEX with "MD".....but then again I could be wrong cause I am a nOOb. LOL

heres my 3 largest. the largest of these has gone outdoors and the others have started growing quite nicely ever since its departure. they were just jealous. ill have more later after i update my selection of pictures. thanks for showing interest. :leaf::leaf::leaf:

Ok here we go....as I mentioned earlier I think there were signs of sex with MD.
I am not sure but it really looks like a.............? hmmmm, I will let you all tell me what it looks like.
