you should actually begin tapering off and get down to about 60% by chop time...I do not pre-harvest flush as it it a senseless practice that doesn't do anything but make people "feel" better...the bad tastes are fermented out in drying curing...flushing is ridiculous as a plant purge IMHHO

Namaste':leaf:
I am all about feeding till the last minute. I figured I could since I flush everytime I feed. So next feeding I will taper down to 100% since she is over that now or go even lower like 75% or 50%? Just let me know cause I am a nOOB in training and I dont know how to finish off my plant as to how and when to chop her. Any help from you Ill is always trusted and I try to do it to my best.

Here is a quick update after my plant's feeding frenzy. Everything is looking like they will be back on track now. I always see people on their grows take pictures with a lighter next to their buds. Well I wanted to try something different. I took a pic of Pat next to my favorite beverage. I want and hope Pat can fill up and get fat like the bottle in the pic...LOL It would be nice but that pic gives ou an idea of these Bagseeds I got, they are rocking out if done properly. Just makes me think what MD would really be like.

Here are the Pics:
Pic #1: Baby Lou (yesterday before feeding her)
Pic #2: Baby Lou today!!!! Wooohooo
Pic #3: Pat and Baby Lou (side by side)
Pic #4: Pats bud:mrgreen:
Pic #5: Pat's Bud next to a 2 liter of Pepsi:hump: (Didnt want to do a lighter pic)

Lol, I am happy they are doing much better again!!!

Let me know what you all think?
:peace:

Maui my man, long time no hear from, LOL. I am glad your around, I still havent Harvested MD yet, If you look back a page there are nice pics of MD from yesterday. Check her out, she has some purple tints in her leaves. Today is 7 weeks completed for MD. She still has some more time to go. I wanna make sure she is fully ready before chopping. Did you get any pics of your harvest? If so please post on my journal, I would love to see the harvest and your grow.

Wow this looks awesome! so buddy. What do you think when you can harvest them?
Hey Driz, Not really sure when I will harvest Pat, she still has some time yet. I hope she can get as big as that bottle of Pepsi. LOL But thanks for dropping by and enjoy the ride. This is my 1st grow so I am not in a rush with Harvesting. Kick back, smoke a bowl and stay for the finish Driz.

I usually plan to water a couple times as the last couple weeks go. I usually end up waiting a few extra days though since I look for more ambericity. I follow Lumi on that whole flushing line of thinking. I'm growing a plant, not a toilet. That's forum myth from Dutch over-fertilizing.
I'm drowning mine now, as it lessens the curing time.

Popped the MD seeds yesterday. Thought I would let you know. Hit me up some time if you wanna chill.
Sweeeeeeet! Yes I will, I got the kids this weekend so I will hit you up. I hope you enjoy the MD seeds. They are really good for a Bagseed. Although I really believe it was a breeder plant cause he gave me a bunch of them and the smoke was good from what I can remember. Cant wait to see what you do with them.

BC I just finished ripping up that piece of Jack you gave me. I waited till I got back so it would be nice and ready to be smoked. Very nice smoke man and a nice wake and bake smoke for sure. I really enjoyed it. You grow some nice smoke bro.

Peace

Daniels,

Can you explain to me the drowning process. Is that how you extract all the fertz in soil? Or is that how you kill off your plant? Let me get my pen and notebook ready so I can learn. Thanks bro.

it is how you kill the plant as well as begin the fermenting or curing before the plant even dies....simply submerge the entire medium container in a larger container of water 7- 10 days before you plan to harvest....keep the roots and medium saturated ...the plant will go into hyperdrive as when you make it rain...check to make sure the water stays covering the roots...you will see it slow down and start giving up...once this occurs put lights out keep it cool with very low humidity for 24 to 72 hours then harvest

Hope it helps

How do I keep my container submerged? or do I just plug the container drain holes and fill the medium with straight water? Not sure on how to keep it submerged for so many days. I dont have room unless I do in the shower but not sure on how to get it back into my tent full of water? Do I have to pH the water? Not really sure I understand the process. Sorry:dunce:

I don't do the 24 to 72 hrs, I just decide, get Dry Boxes ready then start. I might try 24 hrs next time. That worries me for mold & Bud rot issues.

What I do is put the 4 gal. pot into a 5 gal. bucket. Then water until top of pot is submerged. For a couple days I add water as it sucks some up. Hence, after a 'rain'. No pH'd water just normal. You want the roots to be un-able to breathe. Takes curing to 1 week not 3 or 4. RiddleMe explains it in a thread. I trim all fan leaves then do sugar leaves once it's dry enough. Usually 30/30 for a week in the Dry Box.

Daniels, I am alittle confused about the following quote you posted " I trim all fan leaves then do sugar leaves once it's dry enough. Usually 30/30 for a week in the Dry Box." What do you mean do sugar leaves and what is 30/30 in the Dry Box? Can you explain please? THanks

Sugar leaves are the close ones with crystals. The 30/30 was for fan timer exhausting. Once they dry enough I trim all them off. Some people trim fully right after harvesting a branch. I think it's not as good to do it that way. I think as the sugar leaves die and dry up there are chemical processes happening. It's the fermentation of the cure. Drowning gets this started.
Here's some Bud Porn kinda showing. Also my Dry Box. Does that clear up how I do it?

Daniels that is awesome, thanks so much for clarifying for me. Pics do help tremendously. What size is that tote and what about the size of fan your using for it? Is it a in-line fan or cpu fan? Do you mind if I copy your talented DIY?? I like that set-up bro. Also the 30/30 is minutes? Thanks Daniels, I hope this helps other peeps out there. You are the man!!!
