1st Grow... CFL... LST attempt!!!

as the title says i am starting my first grow in a small cabinet. i have 5 seedlings that have now all popped through the soil. (2 have their first set of leaves!!!) right now i have 4 23 watt 6500K CFLs and 1 2700K CFL all on 24hrs lights on... i will post pictures in the next couple hours...

Sorry i didnt get any pics today. i moved recently and cant find my camera. ill try again tomorrow...

these are the two that are doing the best... i already lost one that never really opened up and the other two just look like miniature versions of these two lol... in the last picture you can see my small intake fan and the big fan is my exhaust fan... i tried to get a couple pics of my setup but its a little cramped at the moment...

Actually i have a question too. how soon could i switch to flowering just to see if these are females? i plan to revert back to veg after that but i want to get the males out of there.

any help here guys?

alright guys, sorry for posting so many times back to back but i really want to figure out the sex of these plants a.s.a.p.!!! I need to get any males out as quickly as i can due to limited space....

you can flower em any time,but I would let em get a few more sets of leaves.

yeah,you can do that,but dont let em get too big.It all depends on your strain as well as the height of the cabinet.They can double and triple their height in first 4-5 weeks of flowering.They usually slow down after that.Look into LST.

If you haven't flowered yet.... I would take clones and label the plants from which one you cloned from and switch to flower the older plants and toss the males once they show sex. Once you've done that your clones should be rooted and you should know which ones to toss.

thanks... i do plan to use LST. the plants are only a week old today so ive got a little time to figure out what i want to do.

the only problem i have with this is i dont have a seperate place for my clones at the moment.. im working with limited space but this is an awesome idea...

ive been watering my babies every other day. does that sound about right in party cups?

I'd take a spray bottle with water and spray at stem base to make sure they dont dry out.Not too much water,but I would water every day(small amounts) until transplanted to a bigger pot.

im trying not to rush it. just want to get the males out asap

quick update... if youll notice in my first pics i didnt fill the cups all the way up with dirt. im not sure why i did that but today i removed the plants and filled the cups all the way. the roots on all the plants looked good but the biggest one really suprised me how much the roots had grown in barely over a week. ill try to get pics tomorrow after i see how they take to the new dirt. i know it was a rookie mistake but i hope they end up ok
