get them lights right on top of them girls! like the twirly twirls of the bulb half an inch away! you're losing an incredible amount of light even in the short distance it has to travel already...

if you have another PC fan laying around, maybe think about throwin' it in there...you could have it blowing at the cfl's, helping to cool the area off...and you're gonna want some sort of wind blowing on your plants, to make the stem strong...when they get into flower, they'll get way too heavy for themselves, and all, be fallin' over

Yup first thing i learned on here More light=more buds, anything distance over 3in. and your lights are useless. I pull the rubbermaids back than lift the top one for pics. But when i set it back in the lights sit at about an inch from the plants. They were about 1/2 an inch but i put my hand under them and they felt hot at that distance, and those brown spots arent making me any comfortable. That Dryer hose in my last pic has one of the fans blowing directly on the plants and and bulbs. Its the only way i can keep the place under 80F. Was powering them with and old 7.5v phone charger ,but found one with 12v and those puppies are really blowing.

Hey guys,

I'm concerned. Its progressed.

Heres what went down the last 48hrs:
-Started nutes at 25% the plant took great to them
-Brown spots started to appear on the center of the leaves.
-Thought it was caused by bubbles of water left after watering like kyoinidaho suggested.
-Gave it 50% nutes and some Jungle fish pills i found at wally world for ph down. Prepared it in a gallon of R/O water before watering. Ph measured 6.5 when i prepared the solution with nutes. Watered and the plants have barely dropped maybe from 7.1-7.2 to 6.9-6.8.
-Woke up next morning and the brown spots have spread, and the tips of the leaves have begun to turn brown as well.
---- My littler one has shown no problems throughout any of this which led me to rule out bugs. Wouldnt they attack the entire enclosure and not just one plant? Unfortunately that was short lived and this morning it also shows a brown/yellowish leaf. Just one.

Ph imbalance?
-I dunno about this since it was occuring before i attempted to adjust ph.
- This may have caused the brownish tint on the leaf tips since that began after i messed with ph.

Ca/Mg Deficiency?
P Deficiency?
-read lime could fix both of these

Bugs?
-I've ruled it out but i'm a newbie.

If problems persist i'm gonna flush with a mix of hydrogen peroxide, and mix in alittle bit of lime ,and back off the ph. It was growing great where it was why change it? Figure the lime cant hurt.
Also gonna go buy a magnifying glass and see if i can spot any critters.

Anyfeedback appreciated.
Lets bounce some ideas off each other and save my girls.

i still think that just looks like where drops of nuted water had gotten on the leaves...the rest of your plant looks gorgeous, you got some clear up close pics, and there's not even a touch of burning at your tips...it looks like the top leaf in your pic might've came into contact with a cfl? it looks pretty evenly brown...

don't stress over the small stuff, man, really everything's looking like it's going well

Well I've been snooping around articles, but none have a clear solution. It's not bugs, I did a thorough look over and found no crawling critters. It's not the cfls I put my hand under them and checked heat there's minimal. Also not water bubble burns, I have been very careful to not water over the plant. I also completely backed off the ph buffering.

Things I've learned is that it's attacking the lower and older leaves. They are brown rustic/brown looking spots and they are small. Only reason they may appear big is because there is a lot of them. There has only been 1 leaf with the edges burnt.

I've scaled down all nutes to 25% and water nutes one day and only water the next. I flushed the one showing all the problems and added some lime. the second one was beginning to show the spots but they receded. Both are still growing as well.

I'm watching them closely, and I'll keep working on it. I'll post any breakthroughs.

Also diluted some neem oil and sprayed them to prevent bugs. Have them on 24 hr light but I shut them down to avoid burning with the oil. Also the intake fan blows on the plants right down the cfls for the fresh air and temp control.

Here's some Current picks

Here's the healthier one.

Check it out guys i think my ladies are recovering.

They are the same seed but look like opposites. One is low and bushy the one is longer and not as bushy.
The one that has all the damage was actually the alpha one it was growing at a much faster rate than the bushier one. The little one really shot up.

Added a Carbon Scrubber using the pencil holder DIY.
Also went ahead and added more lights Got 100w going to each plant now. Got it running at the moment curious to see what temps will be.
Might have to add another fan to help pull through the filter we'll see, also gonna add a reflector.

Check out the girls, one of them got too close to the lights over night. Feeding them full strength nutes and they are doing great.

How long do you guys usually veg for? i'm thinking about 2 months.
Hows the grow room looking?

My little PC fan isn't cutting it with the filter. I'm not dippin into my christmas fund for one of those sweet inline fan. But i found this 4" duct fan locally. Anyone ever use one? Simple like the pc fan just a little heavier duty.

I bought my timer at Lowes, man. Walmart is the devils work.

http://tinyurl.com/7nzhuvz <--- bought this exact one. 14 Gold Pieces
Yeah, you might need something with more suction. Air flow might be inhibited a little more with the filter.
