1st grow comments welcome

Hey everyone. 1st time grower here just wanted to post some pics and get some feedback on how I'm doing so far. These ladies are about 4 weeks in veg under two 150 watt MH bulbs with a 600 watt ballast each and four T8 fluorescent bulbs. 2 of the flos are 6500k daylight bulbs and the other 2 are 4500 "grow bulbs". They are on a 24/0 schedule and have been receiving nutes from birth. I am gradually increasing the dosage as they get older. I can post more pics of the setup if you like.

yeah more pics would be good, but you said you have a 600w ballast, and (im just making sure i understand this right) two 150w MH bulbs, right?? what are you using with the remaining 300w of ballast power??

Nevertheless, how tall are they? and do you plant on topping before you flower -- cuz if you leave those plants for much longer before you throw them under the hps, your gonna have ALOT of height, and ALOT of foliage goin on , lol. If you top your plants at least once, then it will give them a chance to grow out a little bit more, and become a little fuller before you pull the trigger. Plus itll give you two main shoots instead of one main cola.

I am no electrician but here goes. I got these ballasts from my buddy who works at a dealership. They were building a new paddock to display the corvettes and my buddy kind of "borrowed" them. I know for sure they are 600 watts a piece because they said so on the box. The MH bulbs I purchased myself and they are 150 watts each. I dunno how it works it just does. Here's a pic of the hood I built. I know it's crappy but I did the best I could with what I had.

Nice looking plants. Flower them when they're roughly 33-50% of how tall you want them to be. Obviously consider your space limitations. You should look into whether you can put a HPS bulb in one or both of those ballasts, and I don't mean just experiment.

I'm impressed. A lot better than my grow.
