Your set-up sounds like it will be great. How big is your cabinet going to be? You could possibly have heat issues with a 600W light in a cabinet, unless you have the light cooled efficiently.
Hey thanks for the reply!
On the heat issue, I was thinking of a design very similar to yours with a cool-tube, duct in, duct out with a couple A/C 3-5" fans depending on the housing I find cheapest haha.
I'm still in the buying stage. I have all the plumbing ready to go, just have to get the cabinet, which I'm hoping to figure out today.. I am currently shopping for a new house so it makes it tough knowing what sort of space I'll have. At worst case, I can have a dual-cabinet... one flower one with clone above veg below...
Because I'm stuck to 6 mature right now, I'll probably not have a mother, as I've had pretty good experience so far just cutting clones from my ladies right before they go into flower..
The other thing I want is the biggest yield possible if I'm stuck to 6. (wife may get her card soon upping that to 12). I imagine multi-headed beasts of plants in SCOG or some similar fashion for high-yields
I've got my aero setup for fast harvest, and am designing everything in a 3d modeling software using things I find at home depot and aero shop for references.. I just have to figure out how much space my max of 6 (possibly 12) flowering plants will need to give me a perpetual harvest of at least 3oz / month (just enough for smoke and edibles..)
Once I've figured out flower cab size, or find a perfect cabinet that tells me my flower size, I can finally start cutting this pipe filling my garage up to length haha.
For now, I'm designing the circuit boards to be sent out for fabrication which will hopefully get me to some level of automation.. I program for a living, so all I've finished so far is turning cooling on at a temp, heat at a temp, and also controls the light cycles. Interface to modify the settings with a small lcd I have laying around is done too (only works in testing as obviously, the circuits need to be printed)
the thing I'm fighting with while I wait for my cabinet to fall in my lap is automation of the Lucas Formula. For veg and flower both, bloom / micro is always at a 2/1 with different potency. So I'm working on 3 smaller res that feed the 3 other large res with different bloom / micro potency in each. 2 with ph up and down 1 with the combined nutes and a water inlet. Servos control a 1/10 gal/sec valve. Gravity should do the rest. Problem is getting consistent distrubition.. Oh well, I can grow without this working. Cab is first priority.
I'll make up some renders of the setup so far if you want. Can really use any advice.. First time doing any sort of grow that's more than sticking 2in dirt with a light cycle
