Hey everyone! This is my First grow, and i think its going pretty well so far. Just looking for any feedback anyone may have. Ive been reading the forums a lot and so far they have been really helpful.
Here's what i got
:
1 400Watt Galaxy Switchable Ballast
1 Classic Yield Master Hood
Veg under 400Watt Metal Halide
Flower with a 400Watt Lucalox HPS
1 box fan for air circulation
The Grow Area:
The closet in my bedroom has been converted into the grow room. its about 5ft wide x 3 ft deep x about 7ft high. I have no ventilation in there, i just leave my closet door open a little, the temp stays right around 80 and 75ish at night. Humidity is always less than 30%.
The plants are grown in soil, i added small doses miracle grow for veg growth but have not added any nutes for flowering.
Ph is right at 6.5.
The Grow:
I planted 17 seeds on STUPERBOWL SUNDAY aka 2/1/2009. IT was a great day..haha. Anyways.... I have no idea what kind of seeds they are, but i got 20 of them for free when i bought my Big Bud seeds. Since this was my First grow i decided to use the free seeds incase i muffed em up. But they have been doing well so far.
Out of the 20 seeds only 17 germinated. For the next six weeks those 17 plants were my children. (I couldnt stop watching them...creepy i know) After the six weeks i switched my light cycle and bulb from 18/6 with the MH to 12/12 with the hps. In 10 days they had shown their sex. Out of the 17 plants 8 were male-8 were female-and 1 was hermaphrodite. so i threw out the nine plants(and cried a little
)
But now i have 8 sexy ladies in my closet and i cant wait. I am about 16 days into flowering and i have nice little buds starting to develop. when i began the flowering stage my plants were all about 18 inches tall, now the smallest plant is 20 inches and the tallest is about 30 inches. ) I give each plant about a quart of water and that seems to be doing them well so far.... still no nutes.
