1st grow jock horror

  • my first real grow is this jock horror....feminized auto flowering...cfl lights...closet grow..with reflector all around the walls to help distribute light....1 plant..having issues with ph and ppm levels....right now first week of flowering ppm is at the mid to upper 700..bout 773 or so..ph was high even tho just adjusted yestrday..so had to adjust agian today...some leaves have spots..not sure if this is from the prior damage from the ppms being to high..at start of grow was using recommended nutrients and strength...this proved to b to much for my baby so i went from 4 gallons of water and nutrients to 1 gallon of water and nutrients and 3 gallons pure water..this seemed at the time to stop the issue..so not sure if this is care over from that or if this is new....lights set about 3 inches above plant ....no signs of burn or ne thing ...hpwever should have set lights closer at beginning of grow to stopped from stretching so much..not that it stretched alot but enough....as well as should probably top next plant to keep short and bushy......

Cool, I subscribed. I have one of the exact same plants going in DWC also. I've been getting odd discoloration of a leaf and another strain in the same tank is fine. (running two in a large tote tub) The jack horror auto seems really finicky to me, or I got a weak one. It's kind of been a runt and sickly from day one although the other strain started the same day has been in the same conditions and is 3x the size and healthy looking.

I agree with you on the nutes, I had to cut way down on the recommended to about a 1/4 strength and mine is 31 days old.

How old is yours?

37 days ..3 into flowering....got some spotting issues...i needs some help!!!!!

Thought id let u know that I have developed gold spots before...mine looked like a stain almost... not like small sized dots but more like a small blotch...

anyway, I discovered it was caused by a rapid ph shift... basically my runoff was pretty low so I flushed to try and compensate and correct the ph. It did work and my plants are loving me for it... but I did get some of the gold...just my 2 cents

Also I cant find the link now but look around google in one of the grow weed step by step tutorials they have a awesome leaf diagnosis page that shows that "gold" im referring to...there aren't many pics of that specific symptom but when I finally found it made perfect sense.

So if I was u I would look and make sure im not over feeding them nutrients. .

Then I would double check my grow rooms conditions specifically looking at heat levels and the distance that the plant is from the bulb. .

And finally double check that ph and make sure its correct while also taking into consideration that the gold might be due to a recent ph fluctuation..

Thats my opinion
