1st grow - premix & cfls

My little girls are 10 days old and I think Im getting some serious nute burn from my HEB premium potting mix. Can yall take a look at the pics and tell me what you think is going on? The temp stays between 75-80F and they have been on a 24/0 light schedule. Im thinking about taking them to a 20/4 for 2 weeks then a 18/6 untill flowering...IF THEY MAKE it which I don't see happening now. Thanks for all the help. If they all die im going to go get some Ocean Forest soil and start over.. What a shame... I did do a soil flush to number 9 cause it is the worst looking.

welcome to the forums =)

that definately looks like nute burn, they also look a little over-watered. But don't give up on them yet, I've seen plants recover from much worse. I'm not familiar with HEB potting mix but if it's anything like miracle gro, it has time-released nitrogen which is most likely your problem. I would get some FoxFarm soil and transplant into bigger pots ASAP, and they should bounce right back. You'll be pleasently suprised how much better plants grow in organic soil compared to store baught mixes.

Yea its pretty much like HEB brand MG. Im definetly getting Fox Farms now. I only watered them when the soil was dry about 3 inches down but yea I caught the overwatering a little while ago and let them sit without water for 4 days before watering them this morning. I was going to wait till the 2 week period before transplanting but I guess I should do is ASAP. Jeez your plants are huge compared to mine! Dang cheap A** soil.... Thanks

you can wait until week 2, but if the soil is causing the burn it will only get worse. My first grow was a failure all because of bad soil, I could've saved my plants if i transplanted them while they were still young.
