1st Grow question with smell?

Hey all I plan on doing my first grow soon, it will be an Alaskan Ice in DWC with CFL's and I was a little concerned about odor. This is my first grow I'm inexperienced to how pungent an odor problem I'll have. So my question is I plan to grow one 4ft plant... maybe two but how bad would the smell be from one plant of that size. Also anyone you has done an Alaskan Ice grow tips and input on it in general would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks again everyone.

It can get stinky. As soon as full sized leaves show up it will b a little smelly. I wouldnt buy exuast fans and all that for one or two plants. Google Ona pro gel. Stuff works great. Actually search on this site shows a cool fan setup using Ona. Good luck

Yeah, Even with small rooms, if heats not a issue. 10 plants could easily be masked by just ona. Used correctly though.

I was wondering the same myself i have 3 plants just put into flowering they are only 10-11 inches tall.Their up in the attic which is airy there is only a trapdoor into it and i was worrying that the smell could be all over the house should i worry and if so would that gel work and how does it work thanks

The best way is to buy "soil moist." it retains moisture for about a month. Take a 5 gallon bucket add a bag of soil moist. 1cup Ona pro gel and 9 cups of water. Drill a few holes on the side of the bucket about halfway up. Take a 8 or 9 inch circle fan and place it in. Walaa. Odor is gone. Add water and a 1/2 cup every month and stir. Problem solved!!

Oh yeah, dont put in the grow room. Keep outside the door. I havnt had buds taste like Fresh Linen. I have heard of people say there weed tasted chemically. I personally think their grower didnt flush nutes the last 2 weeks of flower!!

it WILL make your buds smell like linen if you keep it in the room with the plants.

Well then you wouldn't recommend using it up in the loft where my grow is.Its not closed in in any way the attic is a trussed roof the light is just hanging at the back with a cardboard box around it.It would be breezy in the attic if a good wind was blowing and i am just thinking would the smell come down into the house at all or would it find its way out of the roof.Or is that just wishful thinking and i should be thinking about some other option , its just that i don't fancy getting another fan up in the loft no more power sockets.I have a lead going up thru the ceiling of my room giving power to the lights and fan and to put some extractor would get me caught for sure.So any other odour control ideas thanks.
