1st GROW! READY TO HARVEST? PLEAST LOOK AND HELP!

2 plants not sure what strain will the small buds eventually form into one large bud? been flowering for 10 weeks or so on 12/12. the top buds are mostly red stigmas and covered in resin. very smelly. any ideas on when to pick??? thanks for reading!

I would wait until lights off for atleast 8 hrs then just start triming off all the fan leafs and then toss them, then snip off one stem at a time and clean her up real good keeping the sugar leafs for butter. Hang in a dark area for 3-5 days. Toke up.

looks nice man.. i can barely see but id say chop now ud be fine, i would.. or give them another week if ur not in a rush..
them buds wont be joining into 1 cola, prob not enough light or it could just be the strain, wot light did u use?..

nah. i disagree. leave it for 3-5 weeks. i know it seems long, but it snt look ready. if u want to be sure, go to dollar store and get the strongest magnifying glass, look at ur bud. If most of the mushroom looking glands look cloudy and amber in color cut,dry.smoke.

You would run it from 13 to 15 weeks??? LOL

just two 4 foot florescent plant grow lights from walmart along with another 2 foot same kind a bulb in the middle.

I dont think its ready, maybe the top cola but look at the rest man, they have so much more potential! they havent even started draining the fan leaves yet,

you are correct in saying that most new growers cut early, due to not reading about harvesting etc.

an d then you tell someone with an unknown strain, that it's absolutely fine to harvest cus it's done 10 weeks?

my girls are 13 weeks in and still need more weeks yet..

what are the trichs telling you? what's the ratio of cloudy and amber.

and you're LOL'ing at someone over the idea of a 15 week flowering cycle. stop giving bad advice and do some reading on sativa growing times...

id chop em myself but it is all about the trichs they rnt gonna get much fatter u want couch lock let em grow go to radio shack get the microscope and decide for yourself

No offense to grower, But that little plant is going no further with the lights he has, it would be a complete waste of time to try and get any more out of it.
Not bad advice just some helpful advice.
Myself I push everything to the limit, but I have a bigger set up.

and yet more bad advice...

buds mature as they grow. there are internal changes, altercations to the chemistry, just because they are not going to get bigger does not mean that they are not going to get better. why are you trying to encourage him to harvest without even advising him on what he needs to be looking at, rather you're just sprouting garbage.

hence the reason you get shit weed if you chop at 5 weeks. the THC has not matured and ripened up so to speak.

ROFLAO Ok Ok did you not read that he is using fluorecent tubes. How much you want to bet that they are just t12. You know whats going to happen there Smartie pants? If he continues to let it grow the top buds (which are ready) are going to start growing bananas and the bottoms will stay weak being the tops are taking in all the energy simply becuse of hs light set up and how much time they have been under the 12/12

Advice is cheap and there is always plenty of it. Glance at my albums and you will see my advice is far from "bad/garbage". LOL.

P.S. Before you take advice from another person, take a look and see if there a grower or a talker. Look at there threads they started. For example ~Tip Top toker started a thread called "spit or swallow".

very true..well done... and now yet again, why is the top ready, other than your assumption that it's 10 weeks, there are red hairs, they are ready. the trichomes go from clear, to cloudy, to amber. scientific fact.

and you know that whether a bud site is rock solid, or a bit airy, they still give pretty much the same stone. hence why people can get away with suing trim and popcorn buds to make the most amazing hash and oils and butters.

i am pretty sure firestoner does not want to be spoonfed a simple yes or no answer. maybe he would actually like to learn how to judge when to harvest and when to harvest for what kind of "effect" (although that term is used lightly due it being mainly strain dependant)

GoldenGanja is absolutely right. Give it up TTT. You're being thrown off by the fact that there isn't much bud on the stalk, but its obviously rip, if not close as in a week away

I think that plant needs more time, as in several weeks. But with such weak lighting it will be a terribly slow and painful process. Either boost your lighting and give it more time, or chop it and see for yourself. I'm sure it will get you high either way.

why has no one suggested partial harvest, just lop off the cola drop the light and leave the rest for another few weeks although i have to agree with tip top on this coz i think it looks too early but thats just imo
