Thanks jake.

I exceeded my expectations on this grow and see where I can definitely make improvements for the next one. Still gonna try for a small scale grow but maximize it and see how far I can push 10-12 inch plants.

Just curious, what brand of extraction fans and carbon scrubbers are you using? I'm looking to pick up some something pretty soon.

Really looking forward to your harvest weight. I've got a few plants flowering in foldgers tubs too, haha.

I have the hydrofarm active air 4in and the active air scrubbers. I cant complain, both are reasonably priced but the fan was LOUD. Took some soundproofing but it's 90% quieter now so I can live with that. There are alot of different brands but I hear can-fan is really good. Amazon is a good place to find some deals.

I seen someone use the maxwell house containers on the hempy collective thread here, and I drink alot of coffee so it was a no brainer to try it. They have worked great so far. I have some new buckets for my next grow, 1/2 in higher than the folgers but 85% more volume.

Ya I'm anxious to chop but I'm gonna stay patient lol. Thanks for stopping by. Peacebongsmilie

Thanks for stopping back WcT. Harvest is in 1-3 weeks. I'm checkin trichs but still alot of clear. I'll post more pics as they ripen, I look at em everyday so they dont seem to change much lol. Peace man.

Thanks for the info. That, that fan is probably too loud for my cab, I guess I'll try out the S&P TD-100x.

How do you plan on drying/curing?

Ya the fan is LOUD.

As for drying and curing I dont know alot about it. From what I've read, I am gonna build a cardboard box, run some string to hang em and dry them in there till about 60%.

I'll dry them right in my grow box, got good vent and air movement plus nice and dark. I wont run the circulating fans though, it's really hard in a box this small to not have them blow directly on the bud and I think this will dry them out to quickly.

I want to dry them slow right?

From there I'll cut the stems off, use a brown paper bag and dry the rest of the way.

Then cure in mason jars for 2-4 weeks at least, burping 2-3 times a day.


This seemed like a good way to go. Anyone have suggestions otherwise? Please let me know, I want this bud to end up perfect so please help me out. Peace.

Yeah, I've read a few different curing techniques, but a lot of people recommended this one to me, http://medicalmarijuana.com/kyle-kushman/curing-marijuana

Maybe I've read it wrong (twice?) but it seems to not really emphasis burping the jars but to keep them sealed longer. But, I would think burping is necessary to avoid mold and moisture build up. I imagine the buds would still cure if its burped or not.

On my first grow (over 6+ years ago) I didn't cure quite right and ended up with some buds that barely got me stoned. That failure consisted of hanging, then brown bagged and then into ziplock bag. But, I was also a stupid kid at the time and didn't have much of a clue what I was doing. Nothing was accurately timed or anything precise. I will probably go with the Kyle Kushman method for my harvest, unfortunately it wont be for at least another month.

Didn't you say your buddy commercial grows? How does he dry/cure?

Ya my buddy does basically everything I said except he uses a wooden drying cabinet instead of a cardboard box, and then uses cardboard shoe boxes instead of grocery bags for the last part of drying. He is finally getting enough of a stock built up that its curing for a couple weeks now, where before people were beating down his door practically before he had the plant cut.

He installed co2 and changed his feeding and his yields have improved alot. It used to be I would get it uncured and jar it myself for a couple weeks but now its got at least a couple week cure on it so it keeps getting better.

That article is very interesting, I am worried somewhat about not burping the jars, though it's fucking Kushman so I won't doubt him too much fer sure. I think I will try this method though thanks for posting the link man.

These are the choices of clones I have availability to. Blubeberry, Blue Cheese, Bubble Gum, Critical Mass, Agent Orange, NYC Diesel, Super Skunk, Permafrost, Strawberry Cough, Northern lights, OG Kush, Trainwreck, Chrystal, Kandy Kush and the 2 I am growing now.

All except the Northern, Chrystal, and the 2 current plants I get free from my buddy as they come out so I was leaning toward Northern. I am hoping to find a haze clone though or jack or headband, as I want some sativa variety to the heavy indica supply I have.

I may just buy some beans and gift them to my buddy, I really want a SSH or Nevilles. That will take a while so I'll grow something thats available just haven't decided yet.

My other friend who gave me the bj and double dutch clones is getting some new variety too so I will check him out before I decide.

I check my cab as much as I can. To check the progress and for complications. Also because I sometimes go look at them while stoned and think "i I'M GONNA SMOKE THE FUCK OUT OF YOU. GROW!" Hahaha I look forward to the rest of the show G.

Thanks WCT. I'm using str8 perlite for this grow, cheapest and easiest hempy method I found. I have heard alot of people using a perlite, coco combo or perlite/vermiculite combo. I might try out the perlite/coco but will more than likely go with the str8 perlite again.

And I have had that same conversation with my plants while blankly staring at them in my box. Good thing I'm not running serious wattage or I might burn out my retinas.

Well for a grow that has been so far mostly problem free, it should come as no surprise to me that I think the overwhelming purple color is a P def. I am right at 8 weeks and trichs are 10/80/10, clear/cloudy/amber, so I am just flushing str8 water and sweetener right now. Gonna chop Sunday or Monday I think. I'll post pics tonight or tomorrow night depends on when I have time and you guys can give me your opinions and comments which I really appreciate. Thanks again to everyone. Peace
