For real, I was just thinking today, "what the hell is PP gonna do when his power goes out for three days after the storm?" My power went out for three hours once and I was at the store looking at generators when I got the automated call from the company saying power was restored. It was $400 for a 5000watt one and I was seriously considering it because the power goes out here every time the wind blows it seems.

Im looking at getting a natural gas generator.. Ive installed tons of them since katrina.. They will run your whole house!! Doesn't run out of gas either..

Yeah if I had a house I would get one for sure. My folks have one out on their farm. They have to get a truck to come and refill the tank but it's still cool. If you're not outside to hear it turn on, you wouldn't even know the power went out - seamless transition from line to generator. But I live in a shit apartment so I just wanted to run HPS, fan, tv, cable box, xbox, and maybe the modem and laptop.

yea they are the shit... and I have a natural gas going to my house... dont have to worry about filling a propane tank! thank god!!! those smaller generators where worth their weight in gold during katrina... people where going around stealing peoples generators in the middle of the night... had to chain them to ya house or car! lol
