Awesome! I topped mine twice, and messed up both times on most. :cry: I'm seeming to FIM more than top, and really had a problem with how bushy they got later on. I might try to top just once the next time. Good luck with the grow, I'm subbed!
 
@Coloradoclear this whole grow has had me worried it wasn't gg4 but I posted a bunch of veg pics and 9 out of 10 said it is. Now it's got me thinking in flower @TheDifferenceX it's not looking like what I got from the dispensary but it just started to fatten up lately and I'm hoping it goes much bigger the lime green color is there but that's about it. The smells have changed like monthly so I'm not going by that lol. And I'm hoping it's a little sooner then mid October lol I'll be out of smoke at the end of the month :(
 
Theres a ton of factors that can make things look different from each others grows of the same strain. I agree they did look like they should in veg with lots of purpling in main stems, purple petioles, and leaf twist -but the further they get into flower the less they look like the glue. May be a GG4 cross? May be the way they were grown? May be the nutes and the lights? It looks like they have encountered some heat stress though so that may be why they are flowering the way they are and taking so long to finish flowering. I chop mine anywhere between 58-64 days or so. By day 66+ they will start taking on a chocolate type smell with the fuel but the potentcy begins to decrease as the trichomes become over ripe.

Your right I had about 8 days over a couple weeks that got hot. I hope the terpene (think that's how it's spelled lol) profile is about the same its just for personal medical use so if its not top notch it's ok and this is my first indoor grow and I think everything went wrong lol taking it as a learning curve and I actually tried a new strain I like it's platinum OG I will be doing next or a cookie strain they seamed ok. But I'm new to all this modern stuff lol so I'll just go with the flow read up as much as I can and hope for the best :)

If you reach harvest on your first indoor run....your doing ok in my book. Keep it up.
 
Thanx guys :) the next run is actually looking better then this one they are already stacking up nice 4 weeks after first flower20180922_015800.jpg Leafs got a lil marking from a h2o2 spray that I left some of it on got thripes in my veg box so I treated both box's then added a container of lady bugs in each box.

So looks like I am done with the growing part of this run now onto the dry/cure. Wish me luck will post in a week or 2 with smoke results and weight :)20181001_220001.jpg
Started to get a purple shade in the branches close to the intake.
 
So I felt the branches that got hung were drying much faster then the bagged (I know it should be reversed) hung buds got hard on the outside quick while the bagged still felt like sponges so everything went into bags to try and slow down the drying since its only been 3 days. Hope I made the right call since the hung buds had much less of the grassy smell vs the bagged. Might switch it all to a drying rack in 24 hours if more of the "funky" smell doesn't come back.
 
Ok smell came back and is much better but still not as loud as what I smoked before. As for the smoke: lil harsh but not to bad,break down looked good, a bit fluffy, (personal experiance) with 2 good puffs heady felling came on in about 20 mins for 20 mins body high was nice for about 30 mins and a 25-30 min come down, over all it was good not great. Weight is just over 367 grams after final trimming of leafs and stems will have to incinerate any thing over 10.5 oz ;)
Will post final weight and pics after a week or 2 burping jars.
 
Nice 1st grow. I read through all of it, didn't see any mention of doing a flush before harvest unless I missed it. That might be the reason behind the harshness. All in all though fantastic grow. I'm currently growing GG#4 as well. 4 sprouted. Grasshopper chewed one off right at soil level. 2 more were very weak, seen thicker stalks on a blade of grass. The one sole survivor is starting to take off. Getting ready to take clones this week to run with my SS seeds that are on the way. Good luck to you on your other grows...
 
Weighed the jars as I was burping today. Minus humidity packs and jars it's now down to 331 grams and getting much more smelly in just a couple days. Might give it another taste test tonight strictly for documentation reasons :) hehehehe
