...well, the temps are higher just as you'd suspect with an open flame...but, other than that the results are awesome. In my experience, co2 has raised my yield about 4 ounces per light. The electric bill raised like 20-30 bucks due to the a/c and dehumidifier running more often....the pilot light will keep your temps a littler higer during your night period, btw. Only regret is not getting the aircooled burner, but...all in all, I'm happy with the results.

Is it hard to grow multiple strains at once though?

...thankx! I only run one strain in it's own floodbed at a time. I actually have many more strains other than what's mentioned here.

hey quick question just to make it clear with me.... how did you go about making mother plants. did you buy fem seeds and thats it? or did you get fem seeds veg them then flower for two weeks to sex then re-veg? do you top the plant at a certain height? how do you keep them small? whats up?

...what I do is, I buy fem seeds and raise them in soil...I veg them until they show their sex. It normally takes around 6 weeks of veg or so before they show. I've raised fem seeds that were hermie before so I keep a close eye for balls. Once I'm sure the fem seed is infact a female I cut clones. (making sure that there's bud sites under the cutting mark will produce 2 tops from each stem you've cut clones from each time you cut clones) ...I have mother plants for a very long time exceeding a year at them moment. They do not flower well with so many bud sites, so once I'm in need of room I trash a mom and start over with the same cycle.

...I then grow clones in an aeroponics setup (ezcloner) for three weeks to establish a good root system, then I put them straight into flower. You'll not get the same outcome flowering a plant from seed for three weeks, clones grow at the speed of the mother's previous stage of growth...a good indica dominate strain will harvest at a height of around 1 to 1/2 foot, allowing your light to penetrate your canopy better than it could with big plants, IMO. I like to grow single colas for the most part (depending on strain)...makes harvest easy, easy, easy.

Just changed my setup, so....I've been on a delay. I'm going to run a few different strains in soil while I wait for my clones to root for my flood beds.
Here's 5 Pure power, 4 Afghan kush, 1 NLxBB, 2 NLxsk1, 2 Blue Cheese.

I'm goin to grow each strain, one by one, in their own flood bed next round...starting with Greenhouse's Trainwreck, then to Barney's Farm Blue Cheese (clones just cut)

So a harvest of about 80 or 90 plants yielded how much dry/wet?

Just trying to calcualate estimated yield on the big bud once i am in full gear.

I will be using 1000 watt Hps for each tray 2 metres by 1 metre ( 50 pots per tray ).
What do you think i would yield with and without CO2?
Im assuming at least 1 pound per tray.
Achievable?

How have you set up your Co2?
I purchased the regulator and hoping to pick up the bottle soon but i havent got a Control system so i need to do it manually.
Do you have a controller for Temp/Humidity and Co2?

Hey bro love the grow! Especially the Blue Cheese. I have Blue Cheese and Red Diesel and can't wait to start them under my 250w hps. I don't want to pry, but could I ask you a few questions? I see you use the Hortilux bulbs. I have the no name bulb that came with my setup, so I was wondering if it was worth it to spring for a Hortilux. Even for a 250w they are pretty expensive, but thats fine if they are substantially better.

Also, about you cloning technique. You clone from plants from feminized seeds right? Ever have any problems with that? All I seem to hear with fem seeds is hermie, hermie, hermie. Actually kind of makes me scared to even germ the fem seeds, ya know, haha. I'm guessing if you take clones off a mother and it hermies, you don't keep the clones. Sometimes it seems like myth and exaggerations get blown out of proportion and perpetually spread, so I'm not even sure what to believe. Figure I'd ask someone who would know first hand. Thanks man!

...you should absolutely get a 1+ w/o co2, possibly 2 lbs. with. I like to put them straight into flower from rooted clone, maybe one week of veg at most. I lollipop them @ wk#2,3. I remove the bigger,older fan leaves @ wk#5.

...I use a co2 burner(propane) attached to a monitor (positioned at canopy level) set at 1500ppm only when the lights are on, double hose a/c, non exausted scrubber (airtight room) ...dehumidifier on constantly....temps 70-95F (higher heat helps co2 enhancement)

I have been looking for a dehumidifier that controls the humidity by a percentage but cant seem to find one.
They only have setting like Low/Medium/High.
Does your dehumidifier have a percentage control feature?

I have not smoked in at least a month.
Im not smoking again untill i have my own stuff. Im on strike......LOL

...if you have a digital ballest I wouldn't get these hortilux, I read on hortilux's site that they are not rec for digital ballest, due to inconsistant something or another...but, if you have a magnetic ballest, yes...the bulb has awesome specturms. I have switched to OptiLUME, atm.

...I have had 3 hermies, and 1 full male in my history of fems. I have worked with approx. 30 fem strains....my conclusion is, it all depends on the conditions when you germ/sprout them. Fem seeds can be very touchy to stress, and I can admit that I do stress my seedlings a tad bit on purpose. I want females that can withstand minor stress. I may have a heat-spike every now and then or anyother type of hermie related stress ...I have no tolerance for hermies, I kill them instantly no matter what stage of life.
...my suggestion would be to get a few seeds of each fem strain your set on....veg them until they show signs of sex. After sex is obvious, flower (keep closee eye on lower parts of plant during early flower) ...if you see balls, discard them.

...clones are identical to their mother's, if the mother doesn't hermie it will not (if all conditions are optimal)
...I cross info on how to get better % female w/ fem seeds often, I'll post it up next time I cross it. Pull up a chair.

...mine does, but I pretty much leave it on constantly unless my heat is running a little high. I have a GE. Look into a better name brand maybe, idk..I found my at Lowes actually.
...I wish I had the willpower to quit for a month, hahahahaahaha. Really. hahahaahahaaha.
