Thanks for your opinion , can I get some reasoning behind this, I'll post how my younger plants grow and go from there. It'll b in a small bathroom not to much to coverReturn it
That is kind of weird, yeah. And apparently this unit is listed as 11 watts more efficient than the V450.I guess the Price isnt too bad for that just to take a chance and try it if you have a lower budget.
That is a lot of wattage for only 11k lumens or am I missing something?
-Spectrum: 450~475nm 620~630nm, 650~660nm, and white
-Par Value: 779umol
-Lumen: 11595Lm
-Power Draw: 195W
this isn't research level. Fail is a failTell us how it goes. For less than $100 bucks, the worst that happens is that it fails, in which case, it's just $100. Thank you for experimenting with it, because any real information will be good information.
I ordered a 450w ViparSpectra against the opinions of others on the site. I proved it could grow well, and now more people are using ViparSpectra. If this works, maybe we'll see more people buying these for a starter light. If not, don't get discouraged. You'll still have contributed valuable information to research here.
Not necessarily. Everything is research level when you have no data on it and have the ability to test it. I'm not saying it's going to be the best, but it might at least work. Either way, we can both estimate that it has a high potential to fail, but we can only speculate, not give a definitive answer. I feel he'd do better with something else, but I can't outright say that light will not work, because I don't know. I've never used it.this isn't research level. Fail is a fail
On any LED I look at on Amazon the companies say not to measure by Lux because it's a measurement for the human eye ; it says should b measured by PAR photosynthetic active radiationI guess the Price isnt too bad for that just to take a chance and try it if you have a lower budget.

This is correct. But it depends on how reliable this company's information is. If you want to buy it, it would be nice for you to confirm its viability for us. Otherwise, I'd recommend ViparSpectra, but I'm always up to see someone run a test in uncharted territory. On any LED I look at on Amazon the companies say not to measure by Lux because it's a measurement for the human eye ; it says should b measured by PAR photosynthetic active radiation
I was gonna get a ViparSpectra instead of this one! Lol just saw this for a little more wattThis is correct. But it depends on how reliable this company's information is. Do what you do, man. The choice is yours. If you feel it's the right choice, go with it, and if it's not, it's just $100.I was gonna get a ViparSpectra instead of this one! Lol just saw this for a little more watt
OP's? I doubt it would. How could that thing come close to touching a 600 watt hid
Any negative ViparSpectra shit I've read--and there is very little negative first hand reviews--were by people who really didn't know what the hell they were talking about, and none even tried to give a a full grow. No one mentions about them dying early, though. Be my guest and take a look if you'd like, but you probably will come to the same conclusion.funny thing about those cheap leds. they get very mixed reviews. some people get good ones that last a while but others get units that fail quickly. there is no quality control with cheap leds.even with viper spectra some reviews are very positive while others claim the unit worked well for the first 2 month and then died.you are gambling when you buy these cheap units so use your casino money to purchase them. you may get lucky and get a good one or you may get a lemon' I just spent $36 for a 150 watt UFO that uses 5 watt bridgelux diodes and if it works well I will be very happy and pleasantly surprised. but $36 is not a big loss if it does not work.if your not willing to spend several hundred for a good COB led then you are risking your money.the low lumen figure on those LEDs should not be a concern. the one I ordered has 430,460 610 630,650, 710 nm and cold white leds and the LER came out to 95 LPW so comparing these base on lumen output to light like HPS that have a LER of over 500 can be misleading.i'm a T5 grower but leds are an interesting novelty that I play with when I have a little extra cash to spend on entertainment
