Came from a buddies house and he has a banana kush clone that's growing really funky. It looks like a retarded mint plant, I'm sure they pulled these clones from a flowering plant because they are pocked with trichomes near the stem parts of the fan leaves. The clone has a ton of 1, 2 and 3 leaf fan leaves and seems to have the down syndrome. Wish I could get a picture.

Good question dapio! I'm going to be using a 250 cfm inline fan, or slightly bigger, when I can get my hands on a cheap one. The hood looks like it originally came with a piece of glass, but the guy didn't have it when I bought the hood. What I'm thinking is that I'll have the fan placed over the little room sucking air out. I'm thinking of running the ducting so that the inlet (the end of the ducting that goes to the fan) is sucking air at the bottom of the hood. I'm going to have passive intakes at the bottom of the room.

Ok, went to the local hydro shop and got 2 50l bags of Cash Crop coco. I also got 32oz bottles of the cns17 botanicare line; grow, bloom and ripe, 1 each. The guy at the place was cool enough to hook it up with a sample to great white shark .

I transplanted the Kryptonite clone to the 2 gal bucket and used superthrive, cns17 grow at one drop each per 32oz and a dose of great white on the rootball and a drop of ph down. I'm a little concerned because it didn't seem like the roots grew much in the shit soil I had before. Although the veg growth has been great.

Tomorrow I plan on going to another dispensary that specializes in clones and getting an Abusive OG and another random clone, haven't made my mind up.

Alright, just a little update. Went to the clone place, the guy was really cool. I was able to pick out some strains I'm interested in and he's going to take a week and separate out the good ones and they'll be ready for me in a week. Have him separating out a good True OG, Poison, UK Cheese, and Abusive OG. This place has like 60 mothers to work with and they take LOTS of clones. Basically someone had took 200 clones before I got there and this guy wanted to give me quality shit in another week as the clones were pretty much wiped out by some guy.

This is my first grow and all but I feel like I'm going into it really prepared. I won't be ready for flowering for at least another month so I still have time to get my flowering room perfect. On my short term to do list I need to paint the inside of the grow chamber (going white instead of mylar for budget reasons). I recently got some semi rigid 4" ducting. All I really need now is a decent inline fan and to fashion a lightproof door. Not exactly sure what I'm going to do for the door. Maybe some panda film and velcro and a bungie cord to roll it up and keep it open?

I could go out there and take some pics right now, but there's really no point, although the little lady grew about 1/2 in. since yesterday.

Wednesday I'm going back to the clone place and picking up a couple new ladies. Thinking Poison and either UK Cheese or Abusive OG.

Great news~

Ok, I've read journals of people growing "bagseed." Back when I smoked schwag I never thought of growing and never kept the seeds. Last night I was smoking some root beer kush from the dispensary. Was pulling off some snappers for the bowl and a seed flew out of it~! My buddy and I frantically look around on the floor and we found it.

The seed's in a wet paper towel in a gallon sized zip-lock bag with the bag unsealed and on top of the fridge for a little warmth. I put it up there around 10 last night, it's been 16 hours since I tossed it up there and I got my fingers crossed that it's going to crack soon.

Little update on the Kryptonite clone; the side shoots are really starting to leaf out, it's about 6 inches tall right now and has 5-6 nodes on it. Nodes are about 3/4 in. apart, so it seems like this thing wants to bush out.

I just put some coco in 3 1ltr. pots and flushed them with 2 gallons of 1/4 strength veg nutes (I wanted the coco to settle correct) in order to get ready for the 2 clones I'm getting on Tuesday and this seed popping.

This was their current selection when I went down there, but some commercial grower had gone in before me that day and wiped out all the really good cuttings. The day I went in I talked to the dude for about 30 min. and he said he would look over the clones for a week and pull the best ones out for me. I want a pure sativa or a high sativa cross and one clone that's more of an indica. This guy was raving about the poisen so I think I'll go with that for my sativa, and the other strain is still sort of a toss up for me. I'm thinking either the UK Cheese or the Abusive OG for the 2nd clone.
