Well I have been trying to register for about a month now and today I finally got in. Just started my 2nd grow (sprouts), first some results from my 1st grow.
1st grow :
Seeds - 2 bag seeds that turned out both females!
Grow area - 3'x3' flat white painted walls
Veg - 18/6 (lights CFL- 4x23watt 6500k, 2x27watt 5500k full spectrum)
Flower - 12/12 (lights CFL - 2x68watt 2700k, 4x27 watt 2700k)
Soil- Complete crap soil combination of miracle grow and regular scotts potting soil.
Water- Distilled
One of the plants yielded about 1oz dry while the other is still drying (later harvest) looks like it will be closer to 2oz dry. Both seem to be a 50/50 inica/sativa mix very average not bad but not great. Overall pleased for a first attempt.
New Grow :
Seeds - ordered from Single Seed Center < fast shipping great deal.
1x Dutch Passion Blueberry
1x Dutch Passion Durban Poison
1x Barney's Farm LSD
Grow Area - same place modified a bit
Covered all walls top to bottom with Orca Film I got from a local hydro store.
Veg - 18/6 (lights CFL - 1x 125watt 6500k Feliz Grow light, 6x 27watt 5500k full spectrum. 4x T8 36inch 25 watt 4100k floro tubes placed in each corner of the grow area facing plants.
Flower - 12/12 (lights CFL - 6x68 watt 2700k (big ass cfl's from HD)
Soil - Fox Farm Ocean Forest 70% mixed with Light Warrior 30%
Nutes. - FF grow big, and tiger bloom. using the fox farm recommended feeding sched
Water- Distilled
I know one can always do better on lighting as well as other things. The T8's I ended up with were free that is why they are only 4100k bulbs. I know they are not ideal but I figure they are better than not using them at all. All the wattage I listed for each bulb is the real wattage not the equal to watts.
I guess the question is with the changes I have made for the new grow, do you think I will see a marked improvement in quantity and quality of the final product? Short of going out and getting a HPS like most people suggest, any changes you guys may suggest to this setup? Thanx in advance!
