Hey guys/girls. Long time reader of rollitup. I havent grown myself but ive seen plants being grown before and i have a general idea. I wanted to start growing because i cant find a dealer in the new city that we moved to
I want to do a small grow. I wanted to do a small perpetual all perlite grow.
4 mothers in a closet, and fill a 4x4 tent with 2 600ws. Read alot on the world of hempy thread and like the fact that u can grow in 2Ls.
I want to put 40 2Ls in the tent and harvest 10 every 2 weeks and take clones every 2 weeks. Can this be done? I posted this because im not sure about the perpetual style but i can learn it. Does this style allow me to get a QP every 2 weeks

Does perlite and vermiculite attract bugs?

most plants take 8weeks min to finish flowering.
so if you pull out 20 every 2 weeks I dont see how your 40 is going to keep the tent full. wont really be perpetual.
maybe 10 every 2 weeks.
perlite doesnt attract bugs. overwatering does though. fungus gnats.
A QP from 10 plants is doable. but im not sure id say its easy. I pull about 11-20oz off 28 plants in SOG perpetual every week or 2. ebb/flow straight perlite. I like perlite because its really light and easy to get rid of. But i'm not sold on it as a grow medium yet. Seems to retain a bit much water for my liking but I just started with it a few runs ago and am dialing it in now. used to use hydrton which is dirty as shit and heavy as hell and costs way more than perlite.
2 600s in a 4x4 needs to be REALLY well vented. probably use cooltubes and be ok but seems like its pushing it to me.

I use a mask and prerinse all my perlite before using it. Perlite is made from some silica stuff which means to me !warning: conjecture! silicosis and mesothelioma if you breathe it in to much. once its planted i dont worry about it but beware the heinous dust cloud when you open the bag and work with it dry.

Yes i will be getting an 8 week strain from a seed bank. And i ment to put 10 every 2 weeks - i corrected that.
Im going to try my best to not over water because i need to save my water like crazy. Can i use tap water add nuets then adjust ph then water?
And i looked into flood and drain but a lot of posts say hempy style of growing produces better quality and a better yeild.
Im going to vent it good with a carbon filter so i have the right tempreture. I like the idea of 2 600ws because i want more light for more yeild

Dudes?.... Would a 1000w work better then 2 600s?
