1st real grow ever help appreciated

Hi guys this will be my second grow. in my first attempt my plant looked really good it was about a month old until some one found it and ripped it up, broke my heart. haha anyway tell me what you think, and how i can improve, doing the best i can with the materials i have. pics will be up soon.

What materials do you have? Are you trying to grow indoors or outdoors?

Plant an army of sticker bushes around your spot so even if someone comes along and takes it at least you know you stabbed him a few times. Seriously though picking a good spot or a few at a time is key so this doesn't happen again and you end up with nothing. If its easy for you to find this spot and gain access to its easy for someone else too. Put it in a spot that if you didn't know a reward was waiting you would never try and get to because its overgrown and the trip sucks.

2 100w cfl daylight spectrum a 20x24 box indoor grow with an exhaust fan and one intake fan. Trying to load pictures

Also I'm running a 24/0 light schedule. Plan on moving the plants elsewhere once they get bigger. Building a small 4x5x3 ( 4ft high 5ft long and 3ft wide) grow house. Growing in miracle grow moisture control soil.

Ok I would get rid of the Miracle Grow and go buy some fox farms. Either Ocean Forest or Happy Frog. For a fact that type of miracle grow has time released nutes in it, I've used it. Every time you water you release more nutes making it impossible to ever flush your plant. Get nute burns on your plant and you can't do anything to save them. When you flush for the final 2-3 weeks before harvest the soil will still have nutrients and you won't get that clean taste, instead it will taste a bit like artificial fertilizer. That and Ocean Forest is MUCH better at moisture control than miracle grow, it simply has a lot more perlite in it.

Run 2 exhaust and 1 passive intake, trust me I switched from 1 intake/1 exhaust to 2 exhaust/1 passive and it made a much bigger difference in keeping the temps down.

At some point you're going to have to swap out those daylights for 2700k(warm light?) bulbs when you start flowering. A mixed spectrum of 3:1(6500k:2700k) is best anyway. Reverse it for flowering.

If you're trying to take pics from your phone I don't think RIU has worked that out just yet.

are those products usually found in your local plant store or is it something you have to buy online? and are the plants i have in it a waste or is there some way to transplant them? and yeah on the lights i saw i 400 hps bulb the other day but the only shade they had, had a 70w bulb in it and the guy said he didnt think it would work because the bulb size was dufferent, but when i went back and looked they were the same size? but anyway, im definantly changing and probably increasing once the plants get bigger. there are 4.

email them to yourself from your phone, then upload using a friends computer or library coputer if you must

I found the fox farm at my local nursery. I've checked Lowes, Home Depot and Wal-mart and they only seem to carry Miracle Grow for the most part. As far as soil and nutes go a nursery will have it much MUCH cheaper. The catch is that if you buy stuff online you can have almost anything you want. I see a lot of people getting their HIDs from htgsuppy.com. CFLs Bulbs are usually best bought online and in packs. Assuming the CFL wattage you're talking about is actual and not equivalent that's enough for a grow, BUT you won't have great light placement with only 2 bulbs. It's better to get smaller bulbs and have them surrounding the plant as opposed to having 2 lights at the top. This isn't true so much for HIDs because they have awesome light penetration, the only downside really to them is heat and energy consumption.

How large are you fans and how many CFM can it move? If you think heat is going to be an issue I would buy 200 watts or more of CFLs in 26w and 42w sizes. It's great if you can put out 20,000 lumens, but not so great is you're temps are in the high 90's because of it.

Heat isn't a factor right now. My temps are staying in the high 70's constant without much change. I just want to grow some quality bud. I know my soil needs adjusting ASAP light wise got an adjustable lamp cfl 26w and one hanging between 6 small plants. 4 plants are about a week old 2 just sprouted yesterday. Stil trying to get pictures. Growth seems slow. I'm about to change the lights to a 40w cfl tube lights I believe they are t12s. 4'. Cant seem to find the space for it though. Still looking for space

Quick update, changed my set up around exhaust going out low intake up high both on the same side. Changed
plant settings around so that all 5 plants are under 2 26w cfl 100w equivilant

Ok changed the lights now I have 7 light in all. All cfl 3 are 26w daylight spectrum with 1800 lumens each and the other 4 are 13w with 800 lumens each. I have six plants with a total of 8600 Lumens, is that too much for six plant? Anyway with the addition of lights I expect a raise in temperatures so I adjusted my intake and exhaust to fit appropriately
