First harvest tonight, and I was wondering about one thing: Would an ionizer (cheap one) that blows air up at the buds, dry it too quickly? I know that Jorge Cervantes says not to put a fan directly on the drying buds. I'm mainly worried about mold since I'm counting on this to last until the next harvest. Pics of harvest and ionizer attached, thanks for any advice. Also what do you think about the manicure? First time so any pointers would be very helpful.

not bad for a first one. the manicure is decent expecially for your first time. good job +rep on seeing it though to the end. you will notice that this will be some of the best smoke you have ever had since it was grown by your own hands. next time, make sure you pay close attention to the little buds when trimming. this is what will make you a decent bubblehash in the future. congrats on the grow again. when are you planning for your next grow?

Looking good for your first time. The idea is to avoid mold ... so if you don't have a dehumidifier ... you can place an occilating fan clear across the room and create a GENTLE breeze. After about three days of that, cut the buds off the stems/branches and place them loosely into a brown lunch bag, or grocery bag. The bag will draw out more moisture from the inner bud. After a couple of days in the bags, put them loosely into glass Mason Jars and put the lids on. You will want to open the lids a few times a day to air the buds out. If they are still wet from the buds "sweating," put them back into the paper bags for a day or so. Then ... back into the jars for curing. Remember ... mold is the enemy that you are trying to avoid. Its kind of a slow process, but the idea is to end up with nicely cured buds that are not mouldy, and not crispy dry either. Nicely cured buds are "springy" to the touch, but smoke smooth, taste great and end up as a nice white ash.

hmmm, i love the clean ash sight. means someone did the job right. to add on to Vi, turn the buds over daily in the bags to promote even drying.
Alright, I think I'll follow you're advice Vi. I'm already growing the next crop. I have four seeds (two have sprouted) under two 75 watt flourescent grow lights. The seeds are Williams Wonder x Hollands Hope x KC 33. What do you guys think about that ionizer in the closet with the buds? Too much or just enough to eliminate mold?

I would say it couldnt hurt, youll know if they start to dry too fast as long as you check them

Thanks for the input and all of the kind words. I didn't put it in there yet and now I definately will not. I want those buds as stinky as possible! Again thanks for all you're help, couldn't have done this without the enormous amount of information I acquired from this website. Can't wait to see what the dried buds weigh!
